Production Steps of Container Houses

Admin September 15, 2026

The production steps of container houses mainly include design, material preparation, structural fabrication, wall and roof installation, interior decoration, waterproofing treatment, and lifting and positioning.

Design Phase: Determine the structural type (such as welded integral containers or bolt-connected assembled containers), dimensions, and functional layout of the container house based on usage requirements, and complete the structural design and detailed drawings. Consider load-bearing structures, modular design, and combination methods to ensure safety and scalability requirements are met.

Material Preparation:

  • Steel: Select standard profile steel (such as channel steel and square steel) as the frame material. Check the wall thickness of columns and bottom beams (usually 1.5-3 mm), and prioritize hot-dip galvanizing for enhanced corrosion resistance.
  • Wall and Roof Materials: Commonly used are color-steel sandwich panels (such as 50mm thick purification panels) or fire-resistant polyurethane sandwich panels. Confirm the fire rating and thermal insulation performance.
  • Auxiliary Materials: Include building templates (for the chassis), floor leather, doors and windows, electrical conduits, and waterproof adhesives (such as those for glass curtain walls).

Structural Fabrication:

  1. Chassis Welding: Weld a steel frame chassis using channel steel, with square steel crossbeams fixed at intervals. Connect columns and roof ring beams through full welding to ensure structural stability.
  2. Frame Assembly: For bolt-connected assembled containers, assemble standard panels according to the design drawings and tighten all connection nodes.

Wall and Roof Installation:

  • Fix color-steel sandwich panels as walls and roofs, reserving openings for doors and windows.
  • Install specially made color-steel plate doors and sliding windows to ensure tightness and safety.

Interior Decoration:

  • Lay floor leather or high-end flooring to enhance comfort.
  • Install lighting fixtures, switches, sockets, and air conditioning holes, and plan the electrical layout reasonably.

Waterproofing Treatment:

  • Apply waterproof adhesive for glass curtain walls at the seams of roof panels to prevent leakage.
  • Check the tightness around doors and windows and install security grilles if necessary.

Lifting and Positioning and Foundation Treatment:

  • Clear debris from the ground and compact it. Pour a concrete strip foundation (width 30-50 cm, depth depending on the frost line) or use prefabricated pads.
  • Ensure all lifting points bear force simultaneously during lifting to avoid twisting the container. After positioning, check the fit between the bottom beam and the foundation and use a level to correct the levelness (error ≤ 2 mm/m).
