Container House Partition Materials

Admin September 15, 2026

The main partition materials for container houses include sandwich panels, container corrugated panels, bamboo-wood fiber panels, metal panels, calcium silicate panels, etc. Here is a detailed introduction:

Sandwich Panels: These are commonly used partition materials for panel houses, prefabricated houses, quick-assembly containers, and packing-box units. Mostly, they are large-corrugated sandwich panels or flat sandwich panels, featuring a structure of iron sheets on both sides filled with rock wool of different densities or foaming agents (which are basically phased out due to non-compliance with fire safety standards). The iron sheet thickness ranges from 0.2 to 0.8mm. Different thickness specifications of the iron sheet layers and different densities of the interlayers have an impact on both functionality and aesthetics. There are also sandwich panel materials with relatively high strength and the ability to have various texture treatments on the surface, although they are relatively expensive.

Container Corrugated Panels: Generally, the outer layer of the wall adopts container corrugated panels formed by rolling weather-resistant steel plates or galvanized steel plates with a thickness ranging from 1.2 to 3.0mm. These panels are pressed from galvanized patterned plates, offering corrosion resistance and wear resistance. They are widely used as an environmentally friendly and energy-saving material in the welding of container prefabricated houses, performing well in terms of strength and toughness.

Bamboo-Wood Fiber Panels: Most interior decorative panels in container modular integrated houses are bamboo-wood fiber panels, which have evolved from wall panels and can achieve various decoration effects.

Other Materials: Interior decorative panels also use wood veneers, carbon crystal panels, gypsum board with latex paint, etc. Metal panels or calcium silicate panels can be used for walls and ceilings. External decorative materials mainly include magnesium-aluminum-manganese panels, aluminized zinc panels, aluminum panels, metal carved panels, wood hanging panels, cement hanging panels, cement boards, simulated stone materials, and real stone paint. However, when using different materials, waterproof and rainproof measures should be considered.
