Container House Painting Tutorial

Admin September 15, 2026

The container house painting tutorial mainly includes steps such as pretreatment, pre-spraying, formal painting, and post-treatment.

I. Pretreatment

  1. Clean the surface: Ensure that the surface of the container is free of oil, dust, and other impurities. If necessary, use solvents or cleaning agents for cleaning.
  2. Rust removal: Perform sandblasting on welds, secondary rust areas, and 'dead spots' on the container structure to remove rust and old coatings, increasing the adhesion of the new paint.
  3. Repair defects: Check the surface of the container for defects such as dents and cracks, and repair them to ensure a smooth surface.

II. Pre-spraying

  1. Select primer: Choose an appropriate primer, such as epoxy zinc-rich primer, based on the container's operating environment and corrosion resistance requirements.
  2. Pre-spraying areas: Pre-spray welds, secondary rust areas, and 'dead spots' on the container structure to ensure these areas are evenly covered.
  3. Brush coating assistance: For areas that cannot be reached by airless spraying, such as container dead spots, use a brush coating method for pre-coating. Use a 2.5-inch wide curved-handle paintbrush for flexible and convenient operation.

III. Formal Painting

  1. Select topcoat: Choose an appropriate topcoat, such as acrylic topcoat, chlorinated rubber paint film, or polyurethane topcoat, based on the container's operating environment and aesthetic requirements.
  2. Airless spraying: Use an airless spraying machine for painting, controlling the spraying distance between 30 and 40 cm to ensure uniform paint film thickness and avoid coating defects such as 'sags' and 'wrinkles'.
  3. Multi-layer painting: If necessary, perform multi-layer painting, waiting for each layer to dry before applying the next layer.

IV. Post-treatment

  1. Inspect the coating: After painting is complete, inspect the coating for uniformity and defects, and repair if necessary.
  2. Drying and curing: Allow the coating to dry and cure in a suitable environment to ensure the paint film achieves optimal performance.
