Overnight in a Container House in the Rain
It is not advisable to spend the night in a container house in the rain due to numerous safety hazards.

Firstly, container houses have significantly inadequate protection when facing extreme rainstorm weather. Taking the container houses at the Nagoya Asian Games as an example, when they encountered the strongest rainfall on record in the local area, these temporary container houses experienced water leakage. In some cases, the rainstorm even led to the cancellation of training, and the athletes were urgently evacuated. This indicates that the physical properties of container houses limit their ability to withstand extreme weather conditions. Unlike permanent buildings, they lack mature drainage systems, waterproof structures, and emergency evacuation routes.
Secondly, the internal space of container houses is limited, resulting in a poor living experience. For instance, the container houses occupied by the Chinese men's basketball team accommodated three people per household, with two households sharing one toilet, one shower room, and one washing machine. The beds were 195 centimeters long and 90 centimeters wide, making it difficult for basketball players with an average height close to two meters to even turn over. The aisle between the two beds was only wide enough for one person to pass sideways. The low ceiling height in the rooms created a noticeable sense of oppression. Moreover, a single air conditioner struggled to address the insulation issues of the container, significantly reducing living comfort.
Furthermore, rainstorms can trigger a series of secondary disasters, posing a threat to the safety of people inside container houses. Rainstorms can lead to waterlogging and flooding, potentially causing container houses to be washed away or submerged. During the rainstorm in Nagoya, some athletes were concerned about whether the containers would be washed away by the water. Subsequently, approximately 400 athletes and staff members were urgently evacuated to a safe area.
In addition, the sound insulation effect of container houses may also be poor. When spending the night in the rain, the sound of raindrops hitting the container may affect sleep quality.
