Container House

Admin September 15, 2026

Common names for container houses include container homes, container mobile homes, container residences, box-type houses, packing-box units, and quick-assembly container houses.

1. Container Homes
This is the most basic naming method, emphasizing its characteristic of being transformed from a container as the main structural body. Such houses are usually equipped with complete doors, windows, and indoor facilities, and are widely used in migrant worker dormitories, outdoor construction projects, and temporary living buildings. Their production and processing techniques fall into two categories: one is directly transformed from shipping containers, and the other is assembled in factories through steel structural frames combined with color-steel sandwich panel walls, with the latter becoming the market mainstream due to its mature technology.

2. Container Mobile Homes
This name highlights its modular design and flexible mobility. Through standardized production processes, the main structure of the house, interior and exterior wall decorations, and pipeline embeddings are all completed in the factory, with only lifting and joint treatment required on-site. This "prefabricated" construction method enables it to quickly adapt to the needs of engineering camps, commercial pop-ups, government and enterprise temporary buildings, and other scenarios, with the assembly time for a single module shortened to 4 hours.

3. Packing-Box Units and Quick-Assembly Container Houses
These two categories are sub-types of container houses. Packing-box units adopt a full steel structural frame and achieve rapid assembly and disassembly through bolt connections, with a wind resistance rating of up to Level 12, an earthquake resistance rating of Level 8, and a frame deformation rate of only 0.18%, making them suitable for coastal areas prone to typhoons. Quick-assembly container houses, on the other hand, optimize the splicing structure to compress the construction period for 10 standard camp houses to within 3 days, while also supporting customized designs such as curved walls and floor-to-ceiling glass windows, meeting the dual demands of timeliness and display for commercial temporary spaces.

4. Box-Type Houses
This name focuses more on describing the morphological characteristics of the house, that is, forming architectural space through the adaptive combination of container units. From single-container residences to large sports buildings composed of hundreds of containers, their scale can be flexibly expanded according to project needs. International standard 20-foot containers have a load-bearing capacity of up to 25 tons, and 40-foot containers up to 45 tons, providing structural safety guarantees for large-span buildings.
