Requirements for Network Connection in Container Houses

Admin September 15, 2026

When connecting network cables in container houses, it is necessary to plan the positions of the interfaces in advance to ensure reasonable wiring and compliance with safety standards. Some customized products have pre-embedded network cable interfaces, which can simplify the installation process.

1. Convenience of Pre-embedded Interfaces

Some container houses take network requirements into account during the customization stage. For example, a certain container house product has pre-embedded six power interfaces and two sets of network cable interfaces. Such a design can avoid damaging the wall structure during later wiring, reduce the risk of tripping caused by cables scattered all over the floor, and eliminate the need to wait for electrician scheduling, thereby improving installation efficiency. If choosing such products, it is necessary to clarify the number and positions of the interfaces during the customization stage to ensure coverage of all usage areas (such as office areas and bedrooms).

2. Wiring Solutions for Houses without Pre-embedded Interfaces

If the container house does not have pre-embedded network cable interfaces, the following steps are required to complete the wiring:

  1. Determine the Router Position: Place the router in the central area of the house or a location with high signal coverage requirements to avoid excessive signal attenuation due to too many walls. For example, concrete walls can significantly weaken Wi-Fi signals, and it is necessary to expand the coverage range by adding APs (wireless access points) or parent-child routers.
  2. Wiring Methods:
    • Surface Wiring: Fix the network cables along the corners or baseboards of the walls, and use cable trays or conduits for protection to maintain aesthetics and avoid damage from stepping.
    • Conduit Concealed Wiring: If wall damage is allowed, slots can be cut and conduits can be inserted to bury the network cables. However, attention should be paid to the light steel structure material of the container house to avoid damaging the main load-bearing components.
  3. Interface Installation: Install network panels at the target positions and connect the network cables to the router or switch to ensure that the interfaces are firm and have good contact.

3. Safety and Regulatory Requirements

  1. Electrical Safety: Network cables should maintain a safe distance (usually ≥30cm) from power lines to avoid signal interference or electric shock risks.
  2. Fire Prevention Requirements: Use flame-retardant cable trays or conduits to prevent fires caused by overheating of the cables.
  3. Compliance: If the container house is used for temporary buildings or construction sites, it must comply with local construction safety regulations (such as the requirements for electrical installation of temporary facilities in the "Practical Manual of Construction Safety Management" in Jiangsu Province) to ensure that the circuit grounding and leakage protection devices are complete.

4. Product Selection Recommendations

It is advisable to choose customized container houses that have integrated network interfaces or have professional manufacturers (such as Sichuan Aishangguizu Container Co., Ltd.) provide wiring design solutions to ensure a balance between functionality and safety.
