How Thick Are the Materials for Container Houses
The thickness of materials for container houses varies depending on the material type and purpose, with common thickness ranges from 0.2mm to 3.0mm, and some special structural materials reaching up to 600mm in thickness.

I. Thickness of Metal Sheets
Aluminum Veneer: The aluminum sheets used in container houses with aluminum veneer for mobile homes typically have thicknesses of 2.0mm, 2.5mm, and 3.0mm. This material, treated with fluorocarbon spraying, offers good weather resistance and decorative properties, suitable for interior and exterior wall decoration.
Galvanized Steel Sheets: The roofs and walls of packaged container houses often use galvanized steel sheets. The roof material is 0.45mm galvanized color-coated steel sheets, while the wall material consists of inner and outer 0.45mm thick color-coated glass wool sandwich panels.
Corrugated Sheets: The corrugated sheets for container houses are pressed from thin steel sheets, with a minimum market thickness of 0.6mm, available in black iron and galvanized sheet materials.
Weathering Steel Sheets: The outer walls of container modular integrated houses may use weathering steel sheets or galvanized steel sheets rolled into shape, with thicknesses ranging from 1.2mm to 3.0mm.
II. Thickness of Sandwich Panels
Rock Wool Sandwich Panels: The commonly used sandwich panels for residential containers are rock wool panels, approximately 600mm thick, wrapped with iron sheets, offering fire resistance, moisture resistance, corrosion resistance, sound insulation, and thermal insulation.
Glass Wool Sandwich Panels: The walls of packaged container houses use 75mm thick color-coated glass wool sandwich panels.
III. Thickness of Structural Steel
Channel Steel and Columns: The framework of container houses is composed of channel steel and columns, with channel steel specifications of 5X10 and column thickness not less than 1mm.
Main Beams of the Bottom Frame: The bottom frame of packaged container houses uses 3.0mm thick galvanized main beams.
IV. Thickness of Other Materials
Iron Sheet Layers: The iron sheet thickness of large corrugated sandwich panels and flat sandwich panels used in mobile homes ranges from 0.2mm to 0.8mm.
Door and Window Materials: Doors and windows generally use plastic-steel materials, with the option of broken-bridge aluminum materials, with specific thicknesses varying by product.
