Container House Material Price

Admin September 15, 2026

The prices of materials for container houses vary significantly depending on the material type, specifications, brand, and regional differences, with a wide price range from a few yuan per square meter to tens of thousands of yuan per square meter. The following provides an introduction from the perspectives of different material types and influencing factors:

Prices of Different Material Types

  • Basic Panel Materials: For exterior wall decorative panels such as brick-patterned polyurethane foam sandwich panels, the price is approximately 10 yuan per square meter. Color-steel foam sandwich panels, used for partition walls in movable board houses, cost about 30.4 yuan per square meter. Rock wool panels, known for their excellent fire resistance, are relatively more expensive, with prices around 92 yuan per square meter for those used in export container mobile houses.
  • Frame Structure Materials: Frame materials for residential container mobile houses, such as complete sets of column, beam, and corner steel structures assembled from quick-assembly container house components, cost about 330 yuan. C-shaped steel frames for container mobile houses range from 669 to 780 yuan, depending on specifications and configurations.
  • Thermal Insulation Materials: Thermal insulation materials such as thermal insulation cotton with aluminum foil cost about 39.5 yuan per piece. Custom-made aluminum foil rubber-plastic insulation boards with self-adhesive thermal insulation properties are available for as low as 2 yuan per piece.
  • Integrated Decoration Materials: Custom-made metal carved panel integrated exterior and interior wall thermal insulation and decoration panels cost about 24.7 yuan per square meter. Exterior wall thermal insulation and decoration integrated panels with polyurethane thermal insulation, moisture resistance, and metal carved patterns cost about 14.5 yuan per square meter.

Factors Influencing Prices

  • Material: There are significant price differences among different materials. For example, color-steel panels are relatively inexpensive but have poor sound insulation, while rock wool sandwich panels are about 30% more expensive but offer superior fire resistance and thermal insulation.
  • Specifications: For areas less than 100 square meters, the unit price increases by about 10%, while for areas greater than 500 square meters, the unit price decreases by 10-15%. Two-story structures are 15-25% more expensive than single-story ones.
  • Region: Prices in first-tier cities are 10-30% higher than those in second- and third-tier cities. For transportation distances exceeding 50 kilometers, additional charges are applied based on the distance. In remote areas, labor and freight costs increase, leading to higher unit prices.
  • Additional Costs: Foundation treatment may account for about 15% of the total cost. The larger the project volume, the lower the unit price. For small-scale, scattered constructions, the unit price is significantly higher.
