Container House Material Parameter Table
Admin September 17, 2026
The material parameters of container houses mainly include main structural components, door and window fittings, foundation auxiliary materials, and other performance parameters, as detailed below:

I. Main Structural Materials
- Frame Material: The main beams and columns are made of Q235 or Q355 hot-dip galvanized rectangular tubes (e.g., 80mm×40mm×2.5mm), meeting wind pressure resistance requirements of ≥0.5kN/㎡ and seismic fortification intensity of 8 degrees. Connectors include high-strength bolts (M12-M16) and self-tapping screws (Grade 4.8), with approximately 300-500 sets required for a 24㎡ house. Ground beams and corner fittings are made of C-shaped steel (100mm×50mm×2.0mm) or channel steel, treated with epoxy zinc-rich primer for corrosion resistance.
- Wall and Roof: The color-coated steel plates are 0.5mm thick double-sided galvanized sandwich panels (filled with rock wool or polyurethane), with a thermal conductivity coefficient of ≤0.045W/(m·K) and a fire rating of Class A (rock wool) or Class B1 (polyurethane). The insulation layer consists of 50-100mm thick rock wool panels (density ≥120kg/m³) or polyurethane foam panels, complying with the GB/T 19686 standard. Exterior finishes can be selected from PVC film, aluminum panels, or fluorocarbon paint spraying.
II. Doors, Windows, and Fittings
- Door and Window Systems: Doors are steel security doors (Class A fire-rated) or aluminum alloy sliding doors, sized at 900mm×2100mm. Windows are thermal-break aluminum alloy windows (50 series), equipped with double-glazed units (5mm+12A+5mm), achieving an air tightness rating of 6 and a water tightness rating of 3. Sealing strips are made of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber, used at the joints between doors, windows, and walls.
- Electrical and Piping: Cables are BV-2.5mm² (for lighting) and BV-4mm² (for sockets), laid through PVC pipes with a total length of approximately 50-80 meters. The distribution box includes residual current circuit breakers (30mA) and air switches (16A-32A), complying with GB 50054 requirements. Lighting fixtures are LED panel lights (300mm×300mm, 18W) or explosion-proof lights.
III. Foundation and Auxiliary Materials
- Foundation Treatment: The concrete foundation is made of C25 ready-mixed concrete, with a thickness of 200-300mm, reinforced with Φ12 steel mesh, and pre-drilled holes for anchor bolts. The moisture barrier consists of a 2mm thick polyethylene film or polyurethane waterproof coating.
- Flooring Materials: PVC flooring is 2.0mm thick with a wear layer of ≥0.3mm and a fire rating of Class B1. Tiles are 300mm×300mm non-slip floor tiles, laid with cement mortar (1:3 ratio) to a thickness of approximately 30mm.
IV. Other Parameters
- Dimensions and Specifications: Standard types include 3×3m, 3×6m, and 3×7m. Wall panel thicknesses are 50mm for ordinary dormitories, 75mm for thermal insulation and cold protection, and 100mm for severe cold regions. The frame top beam is 180mm, the bottom beam is 160mm, and the columns are made of 2.0-3.0mm thick galvanized steel frames.
- Fire Protection and Performance: Rock wool panels have a Class A fire rating, are moisture-proof and corrosion-resistant, and provide sound insulation and thermal insulation. The outer iron sheet is approximately 600mm thick. Container houses can typically be stacked up to 3 layers, with standard corner fittings compatible with international container lifting points.
- Cost Reference: The material cost for a 24㎡ container house is approximately 12,000-25,000 yuan. Rock wool is 15%-20% more expensive than polyurethane, and aluminum alloy windows are 30% more expensive than plastic-steel windows.
