Container House Interior Wall Painting
Container house interior wall painting can be decorated and beautified through various forms such as hand-painting, color painting, graffiti, and spray painting, which not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also optimizes living functions. Its creation requires a combination of substrate treatment, paint selection, and painting techniques to ensure a long-lasting decorative effect that meets functional requirements.

I. Substrate Treatment as the Foundation of Wall Painting
The interior walls of container houses are primarily made of weather-resistant steel and are usually coated with a protective primer. However, used containers may have residual salt crystals, grease, old marking paints, and rust. These impurities reduce the adhesion of new coatings, so it is necessary to remove surface dirt through high-pressure water cleaning, then thoroughly remove rust layers using sandblasting, and finally treat residual grease with chemical degreasers. If the substrate is severely rusted, it needs to be sanded until metallic luster is exposed to ensure tight bonding between subsequent coatings and the substrate.
II. Paint Selection Balancing Function and Aesthetics
- Rust-Preventive Primer Layer: Directly contacting the metal surface, it is necessary to select epoxy zinc-rich primer or zinc phosphate primer. These paints contain zinc powder or phosphates, which can inhibit steel plate rusting through chemical action and form a dense protective film.
- Intermediate Coating/Color Layer: Acrylic resin paints, polyurethane paints, or fluorocarbon paints are recommended. These industrial-grade paints have high solid content and are added with UV stabilizers and anti-chemical corrosion agents to resist UV aging and acid-base erosion. For example, fluorocarbon paints have excellent weather resistance and are suitable for outdoor environments.
- Protective Topcoat Layer: Usually covered with transparent polyurethane or fluorocarbon varnish to enhance UV resistance, wear resistance, and graffiti resistance. Varnish can also provide different visual effects such as matte and glossy finishes to meet personalized needs.
III. Flexible Application of Painting Techniques
- Base Color Treatment: Mix Demeng water-based paint with outdoor high-weather-resistant color paste for coloring, dilute with water, and roll-coat to stabilize the base layer and improve pigment adhesion. After the primer dries, use light-colored chalk to outline and determine the picture contour.
- Main Color Painting: Mix Demeng water-based paint with mural master color paint or Matisse matte acrylic for coloring. These pigments are waterproof and sun-resistant, suitable for long-term exposure environments. When painting, apply colors in layers, starting with large color blocks and gradually refining.
- Detail Handling: Use a small brush to outline edges, ensuring that tiny concave-convex surfaces are evenly covered with pigment. For example, when painting a horse ranch theme, the texture of horse hair can be expressed through brushstroke variations.
- Protective Layer Application: Finally, roll-coat Demeng gloss varnish to form a transparent protective film, effectively resisting dirt and sun exposure, delaying pigment fading, and extending the lifespan of the wall painting.
