Interior Flooring for Container Houses

Admin September 16, 2026

The interior flooring of container houses mainly includes tile flooring, wood/bamboo plywood flooring, cement board/magnesium oxide board flooring, and other types of flooring materials.

Tile flooring is an early production technique. First, corrugated tiles are laid and fixed on the crossbeams of the container's base frame, followed by the application of cement mortar and then the laying of tiles. Its advantages are significant: the color can be customized, it has a beautiful and elegant appearance, is easy to maintain daily, increases the self-weight to lower the center of gravity, enhances wind resistance, and has a lifespan of 4 to 10 years. However, it also has some drawbacks, such as a long laying time, slow delivery, high labor costs, and the quality is greatly influenced by the craftsmanship of the tile layer.

Wood/bamboo plywood flooring is divided into thick solid wood boards for containers and construction templates. This type of flooring has low costs, a fast construction period, and is easy to replace. However, it has a light self-weight, is prone to moisture deformation, is not fire-resistant, and is susceptible to insect infestation, which limits its use in humid environments or scenarios with high fire safety requirements.

Cement boards and magnesium oxide boards are mostly 2.91.88 meters in size and are laid in 36-meter containers. Common colors include beige and gray. They have extremely low costs, are fire-resistant, have a fast construction period, and are easy to replace. However, the floor's halogen return can corrode the bottom structure, and poor-quality ones are prone to perforation and large-scale collapse, so attention should be paid to quality issues during use.

There is a wide variety of other types of flooring materials. 24mm fiber cement boards are waterproof and fire-resistant and can be customized, priced at ¥112.0; environmentally friendly formaldehyde-free container house magnesium oxide fireproof board base boards are moisture-proof and have a high load-bearing capacity, priced at ¥80.0; magnesium oxide fireproof boards are inorganic, high-temperature resistant, and moisture-proof, priced at ¥22.0; 15mm container magnesium oxide fireproof flooring is environmentally friendly, formaldehyde-free, moisture-proof, and has a high load-bearing capacity, priced at ¥82.0; solid engineering leather for pure-color PVC flooring in commercial warehouse container houses, 1.0mm thick, priced at ¥14.45; high-strength magnesium oxide fireproof flooring, priced at ¥69.00; flooring for movable panel houses (厢房水泥压力板, translated as compartment cement pressure boards), with various thicknesses, priced at ¥32.00; waterproof and moisture-proof flooring for compartments, 18mm thick high-density container flooring, priced at ¥37.00; 10mm thick fireproof flooring for container movable panel houses, priced at ¥15.00; 2-meter-wide cement floor stickers for self-adhesive ground floor mats for container flooring, priced at ¥30.00; 3-meter-long container flooring by Lvzhu, waterproof and moisture-proof, priced at ¥22.00; tear-resistant Oxford environmentally friendly PVC plastic floor mats for container buses, vans, and coaches, priced at ¥18.00. These flooring materials each have their own characteristics and can be selected according to specific needs and budget.
