Container House Installation Models

Admin September 15, 2026

Container houses mainly come in three standard installation models: 20-foot, 40-foot, and 40-foot high-cube.

20-Foot Container House

It measures 5.79 meters (length) × 2.33 meters (width) × 2.38 meters (height). This model is relatively small and suitable for single occupants or small families. It can also serve as a temporary office or small shop. Due to its compact size, transportation and installation are relatively convenient, and costs are lower. In scenarios with limited space requirements, such as temporary dormitories for construction site workers or small storage areas, the 20-foot container house is an excellent choice.

40-Foot Container House

It has dimensions of 11.8 meters (length) × 2.33 meters (width) × 2.38 meters (height). Its space is significantly larger than that of the 20-foot model, providing more spacious living or working areas. It can accommodate multiple occupants and can be transformed into larger offices, conference rooms, or dining areas. In large construction project offices, temporary schools, and other settings, the 40-foot container house is frequently used due to its ample space for equipment and personnel.

40-Foot High-Cube Container House

It measures 11.8 meters (length) × 2.33 meters (width) × 2.68 meters (height). Compared to the standard 40-foot container house, the high-cube version has increased height, resulting in more spacious interiors, especially in terms of vertical space. This model is suitable for scenarios requiring greater height, such as workshops needing to install tall equipment or temporary facilities in sports venues. Additionally, the increased height provides a more comfortable living experience, making it ideal for creating high-quality temporary residences.

These three models of container houses can be combined through splicing to form various styles of container houses, meeting different residential and functional needs.
