Container House Homestay Drawings

Admin September 15, 2026

Currently, there are no complete drawings of container house homestays that can be directly obtained, but design key points and ideas can be summarized based on multiple cases.

Overall Layout Design

  • Modular Combination: Multiple containers can be flexibly combined to form homestays of different scales. For example, in one case, four 6-meter-long containers are used, with two on the lower level and two on the upper level, to build a small homestay hotel. The lower level is equipped with sanitary facilities, a technical room, a storage room, and a four-bed guest room, while the upper level has four guest rooms sharing a terrace. Another case uses two containers to拼接 (spliced) into a 100-square-meter single-story luxury house, with an open-plan living room, dining room, and kitchen, and two bedrooms and a bathroom with a bathtub.
  • Clear Functional Zoning: Functional areas are divided according to the operational needs of the homestay. In addition to guest rooms, public activity spaces such as reception areas and leisure areas should be considered. For example, the "Rong·Gubei Post Station" is positioned as a "generator" of community activities, with a box-shaped space that can be opened on three sides, suitable for various interactive activities.

Appearance and Landscape Design

  • Integration with the Environment: The appearance of container homestays can be designed in combination with the surrounding environment. For example, a container home in the forest retains a dark blue tone and adds a mechanical aesthetic. A container cottage on the grassland uses cedar boards on the outer layer for corrosion resistance and durability, and also features thoughtful designs such as a self-illuminating eave and a small porch.
  • Landscape Utilization: Make full use of the surrounding landscape to enhance the attractiveness of the homestay. For example, the shared terrace of the upper-floor guest rooms offers views of rivers and hills; the grassland cottage has its own observation terrace, allowing guests to enjoy the natural environment.

Interior Decoration Design

  • Diverse Decoration Styles: Different styles can be selected according to the target customer group and theme positioning. For example, the container home in the forest adopts a minimalist style with natural wood colors; some cases use various colors of natural linoleum, pure black industrial lighting, and decorative details to distinguish between rooms.
  • Efficient Space Utilization: The space in containers is limited and needs to be used efficiently. For example, in a 15-square-meter container home, the kitchen adopts a linear design to save space, with cabinets installed above, below, and on the sides for storage; the bed in the bedroom can be folded, and the walls on the sides and top are filled with cabinets to increase storage space.

Structure and Material Design

  • Structural Reinforcement and Modification: The container structure is reinforced and modified according to design requirements, such as removing the original iron doors of the containers and replacing them with tempered glass sliding doors; adding lifting rods to the roof for connection and installing solar panels.
  • Material Selection: Materials are selected considering factors such as thermal insulation, corrosion resistance, and fire resistance. For walls, ceilings, and custom furniture, birch plywood can be used; for the exterior, weathering steel and cedar boards can be used; internally, thermal insulation materials can be added, and white wood veneers can be used for decoration.
