Foreign Trade Export Process for Container Houses
Admin September 17, 2026
The foreign trade export process for container houses mainly includes steps such as pre-export preparation, transaction negotiation and contract signing, export stock preparation and inspection declaration, booking and transportation, foreign exchange procedures and settlement, destination customs clearance and delivery, and follow-up processing.

- Pre-export preparation: Enterprises need to possess qualifications such as a business license, import and export operation rights registration, and customs registration. At the same time, confirm whether the goods require special regulatory documents such as export licenses and quotas, determine the HS code, complete inspection and quarantine, and obtain a certificate of conformity. As a special commodity, container houses may also require special documents such as a certificate of origin and a quality inspection certificate.
- Transaction negotiation and contract signing: Negotiate with foreign customers on terms such as product quality, specifications, and price, and sign a formal export contract to clarify the rights and obligations of both parties.
- Export stock preparation and inspection declaration: Organize production or purchase goods according to contract requirements, and package and mark them properly. Goods that require inspection and quarantine should apply for inspection declaration to the entry-exit inspection and quarantine authority and obtain a certificate of conformity.
- Booking and transportation: Select a transportation method and a carrier, obtain a booking confirmation, and transport the goods to the loading location. After the goods are loaded onto the ship, the carrier issues a bill of lading and arranges transportation insurance according to the contract. In actual operation, it is usually necessary to enter the port first and then declare customs. After the goods enter the port or container yard, enter the customs declaration form through the electronic port system and submit documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and export contracts. After the customs review is passed, the goods may be inspected, and the enterprise needs to pay customs duties, value-added taxes, and other taxes. The choice of transportation method requires a comprehensive assessment of the value density of the goods, timeliness requirements, and the customs clearance capacity of the destination port.
- Foreign exchange procedures and settlement: Apply to the bank for foreign exchange purchase or settlement in accordance with foreign exchange management regulations and submit relevant vouchers to ensure the recovery of the payment for goods.
- Destination customs clearance and delivery: After the goods arrive in the importing country, the importer or its agent handles customs clearance procedures and pays taxes. After customs clearance is completed, the goods are delivered to the consignee.
- Follow-up processing: Pay attention to the situation of the goods in transit. If export tax refunds need to be handled, submit materials to the tax authority within the specified time. The information on all documents throughout the entire process should be consistent to avoid customs seizure of goods due to inconsistent information.
