Container Houses for Foreigners
Foreigners do indeed repurpose freight container houses for renovation and housing, and they have also been used as container-style dormitories in some large-scale events, although there are certain issues.

Application of Container Houses in Housing Renovation
Foreigners renovate freight container houses for residential use, incorporating extendable sliding mechanisms to alter space. This innovative approach leverages the sturdy structure of containers, providing a relatively safe living environment. Through thoughtful interior decoration and spatial planning, these containers can be transformed into fully functional living spaces, including bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms. The extendable sliding feature further enhances the flexibility and practicality of container houses, allowing adjustments to space size according to occupants' needs and accommodating various living scenarios.
Application and Issues of Container Houses in Large-Scale Events
During the Nagoya Asian Games, the organizing committee opted not to build a dedicated athletes' village to cut costs. Instead, they dispersed athletes and other personnel across cruise ships, container-style dormitories, and hotels. However, these container dormitories revealed several issues during actual use. Short Beds: For taller athletes, the short beds failed to provide a comfortable sleeping environment, affecting their rest and performance. Leaking Sinks: Leaking sinks not only wasted water resources but also risked wetting the floor, increasing the likelihood of slips and falls while also compromising the cleanliness and hygiene of the dormitories. Cramped Space: The inherent space limitations of containers resulted in cramped living quarters after renovation, restricting athletes' movement and failing to meet their daily living and training needs. These issues sparked dissatisfaction among delegations such as South Korea's, indicating that container houses, when used as accommodation facilities for large-scale events, require further improvement and refinement to enhance living comfort and safety.
