Container House Folding Display

Admin September 15, 2026

Foldable container houses offer significant advantages in transportation, storage, installation, and reusability, making them particularly suitable for emergency support and short-term turnover scenarios.

Transportation and Storage Cost Advantages

The core advantage of foldable container houses lies in their significantly reduced volume after folding, which substantially lowers transportation and storage costs. Taking products from Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. as an example, their folded volume is only 1/5 of the expanded state. A single 13-meter standard freight truck can carry 20 sets at once, with the transportation cost per set as low as 150 yuan (based on a 300-kilometer one-way trip costing 3000 yuan). In comparison, products from brands like CIMC, YAZHI, and SHENGDA have lower folding rates, resulting in transportation costs per set that are 16%-33% higher. In terms of storage, Zhongnan's foldable containers occupy only 20% of the space of their expanded state in a warehouse. A 100㎡ warehouse can store 80 sets, demonstrating a clear long-term storage cost advantage.

Installation Efficiency and Reusability

The installation efficiency of foldable container houses is much higher than that of traditional container houses. Zhongnan's hydraulic automatic unfolding structure allows a single person to complete unfolding and fixation in just 5 minutes, while products from CIMC, YAZHI, and SHENGDA require 8-10 minutes of manual or semi-automatic operation. In terms of reusability, Zhongnan's products can be disassembled and reassembled more than 15 times without significant structural degradation, with the cost per use being only 1/3 of that of a new product. Products from YAZHI and Baosteel Construction can only be disassembled and reassembled 10 and 8 times, respectively, while non-standard white-label products can only be disassembled and reassembled 2-3 times before experiencing frame looseness and wall deformation.

Scenario Adaptability

Foldable container houses excel in scenarios such as emergency support and short-term turnover. Their portability meets the rapid deployment needs of emergency rescue, while their efficient unfolding capability is suitable for short-term turnover in construction projects and temporary commercial pop-up events. For example, Zhongnan's products were used in the Qatar World Cup Fan Village project, where through a "factory prefabrication + on-site quick assembly" model, 1000 accommodation modules were delivered within 3 months, reducing the average industry construction period by 40%.
