Container House Floor Tiles

Admin September 16, 2026

The selection of floor tiles for container houses should be based on specific needs, considering material properties, functional requirements, and budget. Common materials include magnesium oxide boards, fiber cement boards, patterned aluminum plates, and composite flooring, among others. Here is a detailed analysis:

Magnesium Oxide Boards

Magnesium oxide boards are commonly used for moisture-proof and fire-resistant floors in residential containers. With glass fiber as the core material, they possess A1-level fire resistance (withstanding temperatures from 1000 to 2000℃), remaining non-combustible at 800℃ and flame-free at 1200℃. They also feature waterproofing, lightweight properties (surface density of 0.85-1.27g/cm³), impact resistance, high flexural strength, sound insulation (29dB sound reduction for 6mm thick boards), and thermal insulation (thermal conductivity of 0.216W/(m·k)). Additionally, magnesium oxide boards are free from harmful substances like asbestos and formaldehyde, can be sawed, nailed, and painted, are easy to install, and have a long service life, making them suitable for scenarios with high fire, moisture, and environmental protection requirements.

Fiber Cement Boards

24mm fiber cement boards can be used for steel structure floors and container floors, offering waterproofing, fire resistance, and customization options. They have high strength but are heavier than magnesium oxide boards, making them suitable for scenarios requiring high load-bearing capacity.

Patterned Aluminum Plates

Patterned aluminum plates are commonly used for floors in containers and integrated houses, especially five-rib patterned aluminum plates, which enhance slip resistance. Aluminum plates are lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and easy to process, suitable for scenarios requiring frequent movement or high moisture resistance, such as temporary restrooms and mobile homes.

Composite Flooring

Bamboo-wood fiber boards and composite flooring are widely used in customized container buildings, balancing aesthetics and practicality. Their modular design supports rapid installation, with price ranges from 600 to 1500 yuan per square meter, achieving high-end decoration standards suitable for commercial districts and homestays.

Other Materials

Wood-plastic composite flooring offers anti-corrosion and waterproof properties, suitable for outdoor courtyards and patios, but at a higher price (12.26-35 yuan per square meter). Wooden flooring is often used in bedrooms and living rooms to enhance warmth but requires moisture-proof treatment.
