Container House Floor Practice
The floor practice for container houses should be selected based on the type of house and actual needs. Common methods include floor leveling, pouring cement floors, and elevated foundation treatment.

I. Basic Floor Treatment
For foldable container houses and fixed residential container houses, the foundation requirements are not high. Simply level the ground to ensure it is solid and free of potholes, and the container house can be placed directly for use. To enhance living comfort, cement floors can be poured on the leveled ground, and drainage ditches should be constructed to prevent water accumulation.
Packing-box container houses have simple foundation requirements. Strip foundations or pier foundations can be constructed, or even no special foundation can be made, and the house can be placed directly on the ground. If a foundation is chosen, it should be level and stable, with good contact with the bottom of the container house.
II. Special Floor Treatment
If the container house needs to be installed in an elevated manner, pile foundations or strip foundations can be used to elevate the container, avoiding direct contact with the ground. This approach prevents moisture and pests and facilitates site leveling. For example, pile foundations can be used on construction sites to elevate the container on piles without ground contact, providing moisture and thermal insulation.
For long-term residential container houses, ground bearing capacity and moisture prevention should be considered. A moisture barrier, such as plastic film or moisture-proof paint, can be laid on the ground, followed by flooring materials. Flooring options include wooden floors, fireproof floors, or high-grade floor leather, chosen based on actual needs and budget.
III. Floor Decoration and Detail Handling
During floor decoration, attention should be paid to the treatment of floor joint areas to ensure tight and seamless joints, preventing dust and moisture infiltration. Special floor adhesive or other sealing materials can be used at the joints.
If underfloor heating or floor adhesives need to be installed in the container house, corresponding space should be reserved or pre-treatment work should be done during floor treatment. For example, before installing underfloor heating, ensure the ground is level and dry, and lay insulation layers and reflective films.
