Container House Floor Plans
Floor plan designs and functional layouts for container houses of different sizes are as follows:

30 sqm 12×2.5 m container house This design is based on a single container module, blending stone and wood elements for a visual effect that combines nature and industry. In the floor plan, the indoor space and outdoor pool area form a functional link, well suited to leisure and vacation settings. Video materials show that the interior may use an open layout, with movable partitions to divide functional zones and adapt to different usage needs.
100 sqm single-story mini mansion Formed by joining two 40-foot containers side by side into a linear plan. Core design features include:
- Integrated public zone: Living room, dining area, and kitchen use an open design; zones are defined by changes in floor materials or ceiling height to enhance a sense of spaciousness.
- Independent private zone: Two bedrooms are provided; the master bedroom may include a walk-in closet; the bathroom features a luxury setup with a bathtub, and wet/dry separation improves usability.
- Structural optimization: A pile foundation is used, with the containers elevated on concrete piles, which both addresses moisture protection and creates an air layer for thermal insulation, suitable for multiple climates.
3×6 m container house For smaller modules, a stacked solution is offered:
- Ground-floor design: Focused on basic living functions, possibly including a bedroom, simple kitchen, and bathroom, with folding furniture or built-in storage to save space.
- Upper-floor design: Connected by stairs, adding a lounge or storage area; some designs use a raised ceiling height to avoid a cramped feel. Production cycle is about 5 days (factory prefabrication) + 3 days (on-site installation), reflecting the efficiency of modular construction.
20-foot and 40-foot container buildings
- 20-foot container: The Type A single-unit layout has an interior net size of 1200×2000 mm, suitable for single occupancy or office use; space should be optimized through vertical use (e.g., loft beds, hanging cabinets).
- 40-foot container: 3-unit/4-unit layouts provide one- to two-story floor plans; the ground floor typically includes public areas and bedrooms, while the upper floor adds bedrooms or a terrace; some designs extend to the roof layout, such as solar panels, viewing platforms, or green areas, improving functionality and ecological performance.
All of the above designs should be adjusted to specific needs—for example by adding sound insulation layers, thermal insulation materials, or structural reinforcement—to meet building codes and use cases in different regions.
