Fire Distance of Container Houses
Admin September 15, 2026
The fire distance between container houses should be at least 6 meters. Here is a detailed introduction to the fire distance and related fire prevention requirements for container houses:

I. Fire Distance Requirements
Container houses should maintain a safe distance of at least 6 meters from each other. This is to prevent the rapid spread of fire to adjacent houses in the event of a fire and to provide sufficient space for personnel evacuation and firefighting and rescue operations.
II. Fire-resistant Material Requirements
- Panel Selection: Container houses should use A-grade fire-resistant materials such as rock wool panels and fire-resistant cotton as fillers, and their fire resistance limits should meet fire safety standards. Some compliant products use metal sandwich panel designs, and the combustion performance grades of the core materials should also meet A-grade requirements.
- Performance Comparison: Non-standard products mostly use flammable materials, with a fire rating of only C-grade, and the fire spreads rapidly; compliant products with fire prevention designs above B1-grade can effectively delay the spread of fire and buy crucial time for escape.
III. Fire Prevention Specifications During Use
- Heat Source Management: Heat sources and fire sources should be kept at a safe distance from container houses, and independent operation areas must be designated for open flame operations.
- Electrical Safety: Wires and cables should be equipped with protective sleeves, and sockets and switch boxes should use metal galvanized boxes and be installed openly to avoid fires caused by electrical faults.
- Fire Protection Configuration: Simple fire extinguishing equipment should be equipped inside and outside the houses, and regular inspections and maintenance should be carried out to ensure effectiveness.
IV. Characteristics of Compliant Products
- Qualification Certification: Production enterprises should have complete qualification certificates, and products should pass combustion performance grade tests.
- Structural Safety: Q235B/Q345B hot-dip galvanized square steel frames are used, combined with full-welding processes to ensure overall stability.
- Protective Performance: The outer shells use ocean-shipping-grade weather-resistant steel plates, and the walls use A-grade/B1-grade fire-resistant rock wool sandwich panels. The overall waterproofing process eliminates leakage hazards.
