Container House Film and TV Drama

Admin September 16, 2026

Currently, there is relatively little publicly available information on film and TV dramas and related works involving container houses, but some film and TV shooting locations, stage dramas, and advertising films feature container houses or elements as distinctive scenes. Details are as follows:

Film and TV Drama Shooting Locations

The Wisdom Bay Science and Technology Innovation Park in Baoshan District, Shanghai, is a relatively typical example. This park was transformed from the land used for the warehouse of the Shanghai No. 3 Wool Textile Factory. The stacked containers were once converted into colorful industrial-style 'container creation boxes', forming a unique architectural landscape. The park includes various functional spaces such as cultural and creative areas, technological innovation zones, and art exhibition venues, attracting multiple film and TV works to shoot here, including Home Away from Home, Mo Bai, Love's Ideal Life, and Second Time's a Charm. In addition, the park's technological facilities such as the 3D-printed concrete bridge, 3D-printed bookstore, and China 3D Printing Culture Museum, as well as artistic and fashionable spaces like the container Starbucks and Yihong Theater, further enrich its diversity as a film and TV shooting location.

Stage Drama

The original dance drama Eastern Grand Port takes containers as its core element, showcasing industrial aesthetics through high-tech stage techniques. Set against the backdrop of the construction of Ningbo Port, the drama tells the story of engineers developing a production operating system for container terminals. On stage, containers serve as both the homes and offices of the characters, and when stacked, they form the grand scenes of the port, vividly presenting the working environment of an international first-class port. Through the flexible use of containers, the drama combines grand themes with specific characters, demonstrating the spirit passed down through generations of port workers.

Advertising Film

The advertising film shot by Luckin Coffee in collaboration with Eileen Gu takes place in the Wisdom Bay Science and Technology Innovation Park, with bright containers and cheerful waterside walkways as the main visual elements. This choice not only highlights the modern industrial style of container houses but also enhances public awareness of container houses through the promotional effect of the advertising film.
