Container House Export Requirements

Admin September 15, 2026

Container houses for export must meet various requirements including structural safety, international certifications, environmental protection, and compliance service capabilities:

Structural Safety and Performance Standards

Exported container houses must comply with international building safety regulations, such as passing fire resistance tests and wind and earthquake resistance certifications. The fire resistance rating must reach above B1 to delay the spread of fire; the wind resistance capacity must meet standards above Level 8, with higher requirements for coastal or high-wind areas, such as frame deformation under 12-level strong winds should be less than 10mm. Additionally, the products must use high-strength light steel frames with anti-corrosion treatment to ensure structural stability and durability, adapting to different geological and climatic conditions.

International Certifications and Compliance Requirements

Exported products must possess international certifications such as CE and ISO to meet the market access standards of target countries. For example, the "Safety Regulations for Modular Temporary Buildings" issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development in 2025 explicitly requires exported products to pass relevant certifications; otherwise, they may face risks such as customs seizure and non-compliance, with losses potentially reaching 20%-40% of the cargo value. At the same time, the products must meet the customs entry requirements of most countries worldwide, such as conforming to the general export standards for dimensions (length 6 meters, width 2.4 meters, height 2.9 meters).

Environmental Protection and Recyclability

Products must meet environmental protection requirements, with a reusability rate of over 80%, avoiding the use of disposable materials to reduce construction waste disposal costs. For example, foldable container houses, when folded, have a volume only 1/5 of their expanded state, increasing single-trip transportation volume by 60%, reducing transportation costs per kilometer by 25%, and the materials are recyclable, meeting green building standards.

Export Compliance Service Capabilities

Manufacturers must possess complete export service capabilities, including customs declaration, certification, and overseas installation and commissioning. Some small manufacturers may lack qualifications, leading customers to need to commission third parties additionally, increasing project costs by 15%-20%. Furthermore, manufacturers must establish a national or global service network with a response time of no more than 24 hours to ensure timely resolution of issues in overseas projects.
