Advantages of Container House Export

Admin September 15, 2026

Container house exports offer advantages such as short construction periods, low costs, standardized quality, environmental friendliness, flexibility and portability, high customization levels, and high market acceptance. Details are as follows:

Significant construction period advantages: Container houses adopt a modular construction method, breaking down complete houses into standardized modules. Most construction processes are completed in the factory, and then the modules are quickly assembled at the destination. Compared with traditional construction, the construction period is significantly shortened. For example, for a modular elderly care apartment purchased by British merchants, traditional construction would take 22 months, while the modular solution only takes 11 months, halving the construction period. For the MRDC modular hotel project by China Construction Science & Industry in Papua New Guinea, the complete delivery cycle for traditional construction would be 14 to 18 months, while the modular solution only takes about 7 months in total.

Outstanding cost advantages: On one hand, labor costs are significantly reduced. The hourly wage of skilled construction workers in Europe and the United States is equivalent to 200 to 400 yuan. Labor can account for 40% of the total project cost. In modular construction sites, only about 45 permanent personnel are needed, while traditional cast-in-place sites require 80 to 120 permanent workers of multiple trades. On the other hand, material costs are also saved. The steel waste from standardized CNC cutting in factories is only 3% to 5%, while the waste of building materials on traditional construction sites is between 8% and 12%. Lightweight steel structure modules can also significantly reduce the consumption of foundation materials, reducing the use of foundation materials by 60% to 70%.

Standardized quality: Precise assembly of steel structures, walls, pipelines, and bathrooms is completed on the factory assembly line, ensuring better quality and avoiding quality issues caused by differences in workers' skill levels in traditional construction.

Environmental advantages: The factory prefabrication and dry construction method are adopted. All materials can be recycled, and there is no construction waste on site, meeting the requirements of green building development.

Flexibility and portability: When folded, they have a small volume, and the loading capacity of a single vehicle or single container is higher, which can significantly save land and sea freight costs, especially suitable for long-distance transportation in export scenarios.

High customization level: Dimensions, interiors, functions, and intelligent systems can all be customized according to needs, meeting the standard requirements of various projects at home and abroad.

High market acceptance: Overseas customers continue to repurchase. For example, in the hotel project in Papua New Guinea, after the owner completed the first-phase project, subsequent orders came one after another, reflecting the recognition of Chinese container houses by overseas customers.
