Container House Door Frame Design

Admin September 15, 2026

The design of container house door frames requires comprehensive consideration of dimensions, structure, functionality, and aesthetics. Here are the specific design points:

I. Door Frame Dimension Design The dimensions of container house door frames should be selected based on usage requirements, either standard or custom specifications. The standard dimensions for a single door are 800 millimeters in width and 2000 millimeters in height, suitable for daily entry and exit. The standard dimensions for double doors are 1600 millimeters in width and 2000 millimeters in height, facilitating the movement of large items and commonly used in office or storage settings. For special purposes (such as barrier-free access or the transportation of large equipment), higher or wider door frames can be customized, but it is essential to ensure they match the load-bearing capacity of the container's steel structural framework to avoid structural deformation due to excessive dimensions.

II. Door Frame Structural Design The door frame must be tightly integrated with the container's steel structural framework to ensure overall stability. The thickness of the steel for the main beams and columns is a critical parameter, typically needing to meet national standards to withstand external forces during lifting, stacking, and transportation. The welding process must be full and free of cold welds to avoid the risk of cracking due to stress concentration. Additionally, the perimeter of the door frame requires anti-corrosion treatment, such as spraying epoxy zinc-rich primer and topcoat or adopting an overall galvanizing process, to extend the service life to over 15 years.

III. Functionality and Safety Design The design of the door frame must balance functionality and safety. For example, residential container houses can incorporate anti-theft locks or safety glass to enhance security. Storage container houses can adopt double doors or roller shutters to improve cargo handling efficiency. The connection between the door frame and the wall must be sealed to prevent rainwater leakage, especially in multi-story combinations or coastal humid environments, where enhanced waterproofing node design is necessary.

IV. Aesthetics and Modular Design As an exterior element of container houses, the design of the door frame must harmonize with the overall style. Aesthetics can be enhanced through stickers, paint, or metal decorative panels, reflecting an industrial or modern minimalist style. In modular design, the door frame must be compatible with interchangeable wall panels for easy and quick assembly and disassembly. For instance, adopting standardized top frames, bottom frames, and corner post structures enables single-box or multi-box combinations to meet various scenario requirements.
