Container House Disassembly Process Diagram

Admin September 17, 2026

The disassembly process of container houses can be divided into four stages: preliminary preparation, standard disassembly, special structure handling, and post-processing. The specific steps are as follows:

I. Preliminary Preparation

  1. Plan Approval and Briefing: Prepare a specialized safety construction plan, clarify the disassembly sequence, tool selection, and emergency measures. After approval by relevant departments, conduct safety and technical briefings for the operators to ensure standardized operations.
  2. Site Clearance and Warning: Remove obstacles and flammable and explosive materials from the disassembly area, set up warning lines, and hang warning signs to prevent unauthorized personnel from entering.
  3. Structural Safety Assessment: Check the container house for deformation, corrosion, or damage, focusing on assessing the strength of connection nodes (such as bolts and welds). If there are safety hazards, reinforce them in advance or adjust the disassembly plan.

II. Standard Disassembly Sequence (Reverse Operation)

  1. Remove External Panels: Prioritize the disassembly of wall and roof panels. Use a wrench or electric screwdriver to remove the fixing screws. Remove the panels one by one in an order from outside to inside and from top to bottom to prevent panel falls and injuries.
  2. Disassemble Support Structures: Remove support members such as purlins and beams in sequence. Take out high-strength bolts, embedded bolts, and steel plates. Retain recyclable materials and store them by category.
  3. Separate Container Connections: Release the bolt connections between containers or between the container and the foundation. Use a gantry crane or forklift to assist in lifting and ensure the stable separation of the containers.
  4. Modular Decomposition: If the house is of modular design, decompose the container into standardized components (such as corner fittings and columns) for easy subsequent transportation or reuse.

III. Special Steps for Double-Decker Container Houses

  1. Upper Level Priority Disassembly: First, remove the fixing members (such as steel beams and partitions) of the upper-level container, then lift it away using lifting equipment, and finally handle the lower-level structure.
  2. Junction Treatment: Focus on disassembling the floor panels, connecting bolts, and thermal insulation materials at the junction between the upper and lower levels to avoid omissions that may lead to structural imbalance.

IV. Post-Processing

  1. Material Classification and Recycling: Store recyclable materials such as containers, steel, and thermal insulation boards by category, in line with green construction requirements; hand over waste (such as rusted bolts and damaged panels) to professional agencies for treatment.
  2. Site Clearance: Remove the garbage generated by the disassembly, restore the site to a flat condition, and ensure there are no residual hazards.

Key Precautions:

  • Safety Principles: It is strictly prohibited to work in adverse weather conditions such as strong winds, rain, or snow. Wear safety harnesses for high-altitude operations and have them supervised by dedicated personnel.
  • Tool Selection: Select appropriate tools (such as electric screwdrivers and gantry cranes) according to the container specifications to avoid structural deformation caused by violent disassembly.
  • Misconception Avoidance: Container houses are of light steel structures and should not be disassembled using the same mindset as for brick-concrete houses (such as hammering or cutting key nodes).

Process Diagram Suggestions: The process can be displayed in layers according to the logic of the "preparation layer (plan approval → site clearance → structural inspection) → disassembly layer (external panels → support members → connection members → container separation) → finishing layer (material recycling → waste treatment)". For double-decker houses, the upper and lower level sequences should be marked separately.
