Container House Design and Production

Admin September 17, 2026

The design and production of container houses encompass two core aspects: design and production, involving drainage and water supply design, modular prefabrication, and diversified production lines.

Design Phase

1. Drainage and Water Supply System Design
The drainage of container houses requires optimization based on terrain and structural considerations. The installation ground should be elevated above the surrounding terrain to prevent rainwater backflow; drainage ditches should be excavated around the container to guide surface runoff. During summer rainy seasons, a gable-style canopy can be added on top to utilize the sloped structure for accelerated rainwater drainage, preventing water accumulation and corrosion of the container. For the water supply system, there are two solutions: one is to connect to municipal water supply pipelines, suitable for fixed locations; the other is to add an independent water tank to meet the needs of remote areas or temporary housing, with the tank capacity designed according to the number of users and water usage frequency.

2. Modular and Prefabricated Design
Packing-box units employ a C-shaped steel structural frame, with walls, roof frames, floor frames, and corner posts prefabricated in the factory. This design eliminates the need for on-site foundation pouring, allowing for rapid formation with simple installation, significantly shortening the construction period. Through the arrangement and combination of different components, diverse architectural forms such as dormitories, office buildings, and hotels can be flexibly constructed to meet different scenario requirements. For example, the standardized design of corner posts enables vertical stacking or horizontal splicing of containers, forming multi-story or large-area spaces.

Production Phase

1. Diversified Production Lines
Shanxi Xiangzu Mengren Company has established a complete production system for container houses, covering production lines for packing boxes, foldable boxes, corrugated boxes, panel boxes, quick-assembly boxes, movable panel houses, and light steel villas. Each production line optimizes processes for specific product types, such as the foldable box production line focusing on foldable structural design for easy transportation and storage; the light steel villa production line emphasizing structural stability and thermal insulation performance. Additionally, the company is equipped with standardized material processing production lines to ensure the precision and quality of walls, steel structures, and other components.

2. Durability and Reusability Optimization
The packing-box units from Farilelai Prefabricated Buildings (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. adopt high-strength materials and anti-corrosion treatment, with a designed lifespan of 20 years. Their core advantage lies in the ability to be disassembled, reassembled, and transported multiple times with extremely low loss rates per cycle. For example, the container connection nodes use bolts for fixation instead of welding, facilitating disassembly and reducing structural damage; the steel structure surface is coated with anti-rust paint to extend the service life. This design reduces long-term usage costs and is particularly suitable for temporary buildings or scenarios requiring frequent relocation.
