Container House Decoration Plan

Admin September 15, 2026

The decoration plan for container houses should comprehensively consider factors such as structural safety, functional zoning, thermal performance, environmental protection, energy efficiency, aesthetics, and practicality. Details are as follows:

I. Structural Safety and Foundation Treatment

  1. Container Selection: Prioritize welded integral containers, which have strong resistance to deformation and are suitable for frequent lifting and moving. Check the wall thickness of the steel columns and bottom beams (1.5-3 mm); the thicker the wall, the greater the load-bearing redundancy.
  2. Corrosion Protection: Use hot-dip galvanized coatings for longer corrosion resistance, especially suitable for areas with large temperature differences between day and night and significant humidity changes.
  3. Ground Foundation: Clear the floating soil and debris from the ground and compact the original soil layer. For long-term fixed use, pour a concrete strip foundation (width 30-50 cm, depth determined by the thickness of the frozen soil layer), with a horizontal error of no more than 2 mm per meter on the top surface of the foundation. For short-term use, precast concrete blocks or steel pads can be used, with a spacing of no more than 2 meters between blocks.

II. Functional Zoning and Space Utilization

  1. Zoning Logic: Fixed-size containers (commonly 3m x 6m) require a functional overlay strategy. Compress the kitchen and bathroom to one end of the container to form a wet area, using integrated bathroom technology; the living and sleeping areas achieve day-night functional switching through the variability of furniture, such as wall-mounted folding tables and drop-down beds.
  2. Storage Design: Systematically plan item storage to avoid a reduction in actual usable area by more than 20%. Combine closed and open storage, with rounded corner designs to increase space roundness.

III. Thermal Performance and Environmental Protection & Energy Efficiency

  1. Thermal Insulation: Adopt a three-layer structure (outer layer 0.6 mm thick galvanized sheet, middle layer 80-100 mm thick rock wool, inner layer PVC-coated steel sheet), with an elevated floor layer added at the bottom to block ground cold bridge conduction. Seal the门窗 (windows and doors) with sealing strips and ensure airtightness at joints to prevent local condensation.
  2. Environmentally Friendly Materials: Use a broken bridge-type lining structure, filling the space between the steel frame and interior wall panels with rigid polyurethane foam. Install rubber thermal insulation pads at the connections of the keels to reduce heat exchange efficiency by about 40%.
  3. Renewable Energy: Integrate solar photovoltaic power generation systems to meet the electricity needs of air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, etc.; rainwater collection systems and septic tank systems achieve water resource recycling.

IV. Aesthetics, Practicality, and Detail Handling

  1. Unified Color Scheme: Use wood veneer to decorate the interior of container doors, unifying the indoor color scheme and creating a natural and warm atmosphere.
  2. Multi-functional Furniture: Customize foldable beds, folding tables, etc., to enhance space flexibility. The bedhead features symmetrical open storage, with black fire-resistant material decoration in the middle, paired with a stove for winter insulation.
  3. Lighting and Ventilation: Design large-scale floor-to-ceiling windows and roof skylights for excellent lighting; triple-glazed windows provide better thermal insulation than red brick walls, achieving warmth in winter and coolness in summer.
