Container House Container House
Feng shui for container-style houses should combine traditional feng shui principles with practical function; the analysis below covers orientation, avoiding sha (negative energy), function fit, and remedies:

I. Orientation should balance daylight and qi flow Facing affects light and qi circulation. Facing east welcomes “purple qi from the east,” matching the idea that qi comes from the east and favoring career growth—especially for logistics and trade firms; facing south maximizes natural light and fits the traditional “sit north, face south” layout, but summer direct sun may overheat interiors, so use shading. In northern regions, avoid the winter prevailing wind (e.g., northwest wind) so cold does not rush indoors and upset “gathering wind and storing qi.”
II. Avoiding sha means dodging external clashes Siting should avoid sources of sha: avoid facing a road reverse-bow (outer side of a curved road), which forms “reverse-bow sha” and lets qi leak; avoid facing sharp structures (signal towers, chimneys) that create “sharp-corner sha.” Also avoid door-to-door alignment with temples, cemeteries, hospitals, and similar sites, whose unusual qi fields may conflict with residents’ psychology and fortune.
III. Function fit should follow industry needs Layout needs differ by sector: cold-chain logistics should set doors away from strong sun to reduce cold loss and support “gathering wind and storing qi”; hazardous-chemical storage must prioritize fire codes and evacuation so qi flow is unobstructed and rigid layouts do not create hazards. Doors should face the transport-access side for people and goods flow, with an open entrance to aid qi circulation.
IV. Practical remedies for unfavorable layouts If facing or layout is hard to change: hang feng shui objects (Bagua mirrors, mountain-sea charms) to ease reverse-bow roads and sharp-corner sha; place plants or décor (wood screens, potted plants) to soften the cold hardness of metal boxes and balance the Five Elements (containers are metal; wood and water help). Also do not block the doorway with boxes, keep space open, and prevent sha buildup that harms health.
Note that feng shui lacks scientific basis; in practice adjust flexibly to personal needs and conditions and avoid over-reliance.
