Container House Construction Guide
Constructing a container house requires comprehensive consideration from multiple aspects such as purchase, installation, design, and maintenance. Here is a specific construction guide:

I. Purchase Stage
Structural Type: Give priority to welded integral containers or bolt-connected assembled containers. Welded containers have strong anti-deformation capabilities and are suitable for frequent lifting and moving. For assembled containers, check the wall thickness of the steel materials for the columns and bottom beams (ranging from 1.5 mm to 3 mm). The thicker the wall thickness, the greater the load-bearing redundancy.
Coating Process: Opt for hot-dip galvanizing treatment, which offers a longer anti-corrosion lifespan, especially suitable for areas with large diurnal temperature differences and significant humidity changes.
II. Installation Stage
Ground Treatment: Clear away floating soil and debris on the ground and compact the original soil layer. For long-term use, pour a concrete strip foundation (with a width of 30 cm to 50 cm and a depth determined according to the frost line). The horizontal error of the foundation top surface should not exceed 5 mm. For short-term use, pre-fabricated concrete pads or steel pads can be used, with a pad spacing of no more than 2 meters.
Lifting and Positioning: Use steel wire ropes with sufficient load-bearing capacity to ensure that all lifting points are under synchronous force, avoiding unilateral force that could cause container distortion. After the container is in place, check the fit between the bottom beam and the foundation pads. Use thin steel sheets to fill in any local gaps, and control the horizontal error within 2 mm per meter.
III. Design Stage
House Type and Spatial Layout: Expand functional areas by connecting or stagger-stacking 2-3 containers, such as integrating a living and dining room or having two bedrooms. For small house types, it is recommended to use multi-functional furniture to enhance space flexibility.
Lighting and Insulation: Install large floor-to-ceiling windows and roof skylights to enhance lighting. Add internal insulation layers to the walls/roof and choose triple-glazed windows to improve insulation performance. Set up roof eaves or balcony sunshades to prevent excessive summer sun exposure.
Courtyard and External Environment: Beautify the exterior facade through methods such as paint spraying and themed spray painting. Elevate the container on pile foundations to prevent moisture and insects.
IV. Maintenance Stage
Rust Prevention and Anti-corrosion: During the construction stage, grind and apply epoxy primer + topcoat to all cutting and welding cuts. Check the welds, wall corners, and other parts annually. Immediately grind and repaint any rust spots found. In inland dry areas, re-coat every 8-12 years; in southern humid areas, every 7-10 years; and in coastal areas, every 3-5 years.
Waterproof Sealing: Replace the sealant at parts such as around windows and doors, container joints, and roof gutters every 5-7 years. Clean the roof leaves annually to prevent water accumulation from corroding the steel plate.
Preventing Internal Condensation: Add qualified insulation layers + vapor barriers to the walls and roof. Install exhaust fans or high windows to enhance ventilation. Avoid using bare steel plates directly as interior walls.
