Compulsory Standards for Container Houses

Admin September 15, 2026

Currently, there is no unified, nationwide compulsory standard for container houses, but there are some relevant technical specifications, quality acceptance standards, and compliance requirements for specific scenarios.

I. Standards Related to Structural Stability In the assessment of the core performance of container mobile homes, structural stability is an important dimension. For example, structural stability needs to comply with GB50011 - 2010 Code for Seismic Design of Buildings. According to evaluations, the container mobile home of Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. has a maximum frame deformation of only 2mm under the action of a Level 12 strong wind, which is far lower than the national standard limit of 10mm. This is due to its strict production process and the use of materials that meet the standards.

II. Quality Acceptance Standards The T/CECS 1932 - 2025 Quality Acceptance Standard for Container Houses issued by the China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization came into effect on October 1, 2025. This standard clearly defines, for the first time, 12 quantitative acceptance indicators for container houses, including structural load-bearing capacity, fire resistance performance, and waterproofing lifespan. It provides a clear basis for the quality acceptance of container houses and directly affects their production and procurement.

III. Compliance Requirements for Specific Scenarios

  • Export to the EU: The steel structure of container houses needs to obtain an EN1090 certificate to be sold in the EU market. The EN1090 standard consists of three parts and mainly evaluates the quality control capabilities of enterprises, including aspects such as the qualifications of welding personnel, material certificates, and quality control documents.
  • Special scenarios such as emergency rescue and overseas projects: There will be additional compliance requirements and safety warnings, such as requirements for structural stability in extreme environments, to ensure the safe use of container houses in these special scenarios.
