Container House Compartment Installation

Admin September 15, 2026

The installation of compartments in container houses should follow professional steps and standards according to different types and requirements to ensure structural stability and functional integrity.

I. Foundation Preparation and Leveling
Before installation, ensure the ground is level. For long-term use scenarios, plan the foundation in advance, such as pouring concrete piers or independent pile foundations, to prevent later tilting or water accumulation. For example, Yunnan Hongren Container Mobile Homes recommends using concrete piers combined with anti-corrosion wood exterior wall treatment to enhance wind and earthquake resistance. For foldable containers, check the stability of the steel wire ropes, keep the container balanced during lifting and unfolding, and place support rods in the middle.

II. Steel Structure Assembly and Fixation

  1. Main Frame Installation: Use high-strength bolts to connect steel beams and square tube columns, ensuring verticality and straightness. Component dimensions should meet design requirements. For example, Zhongnan Steel Structure uses screws to fasten steel beams and sheet beams and welds horizontal supports with angle iron to enhance structural stability.
  2. Partition Board Installation: In packed container houses, first fix the angle aluminum with pull rivets, then install wall panels, door side panels, and door head panels in sequence, and finally fix the door frame channel aluminum. The angle aluminum on the walls and roof should be fixed in both directions to prevent loosening.

III. Floor and Wall Treatment

  1. Floor Laying: Lay magnesium oxide board base plates along the direction of the long beams, install π-shaped secondary beams according to the positioning holes, and fix them with self-tapping screws. The floor joint should align with the centerline of the π-shaped beam, with a nail spacing of 300-350mm. Finally, apply PVC special adhesive and lay floor rubber.
  2. Wall Sealing: Regularly replace the sealant around doors and windows, container joints, and roof gutters (every 5-7 years) to prevent water infiltration and corrosion of the steel plates. Due to the rainy climate in Yunnan, strengthen waterproofing measures, such as using flat waterproof exterior walls or sloped roof designs.

IV. Functional Module Integration
Pre-embed water and electricity pipelines, sound insulation and insulation layers, and air conditioning lines according to usage requirements. For example, commercial homestays can add curved balconies, panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, and anti-corrosion wood exterior walls; construction site housing should have unified color schemes, flat exterior walls, and reserved door and window positions. Internal facilities such as integrated kitchen and bathroom and lighting layout can be completed in advance to shorten on-site construction time.

V. Safety and Acceptance
During installation, non-professionals should stay away from the operation area to avoid the risk of falling objects from heights. After completion, check the position of steel beams, bolt tightness, and floor levelness to ensure compliance with national building codes. For long-term use scenarios, consider moisture and insect protection measures, such as elevating the container on pile foundations.
