Container House Cement Pier
Admin September 15, 2026
Container houses using cement piers (cement bearing platforms) or screw pile foundations each have their own characteristics. Cement piers can provide stable support but have issues such as long construction periods and soil damage, while screw pile foundations are easy to install, reusable, and environmentally friendly.

Cement Pier Foundations:
- Stability: Cement piers, such as precast reinforced concrete photovoltaic piers, form a solid foundation through concrete pouring, providing stable support for container houses, effectively preventing house subsidence and tilting, and ensuring the safety of the houses in various environments.
- Construction Period: Pouring cement piers requires a certain amount of time for the concrete to solidify, which extends the overall installation period of container houses. This may not be suitable for projects that need to be put into use quickly, such as temporary on-site housing.
- Soil Impact: Pouring cement piers causes some damage to the soil, and this damage is often irreversible, which does not align with the concept of sustainable development. Especially in situations where land resources need to be protected, such as in mountainous and hilly areas, their application is restricted.
Screw Pile Foundations:
- Installation Convenience: Screw pile foundations use steel structures screwed into the soil as the bearing foundation, eliminating the need to wait for concrete solidification. The installation process is simple and fast, greatly shortening the installation period of container houses and improving construction efficiency.
- Reusability: Screw pile foundations can be easily disassembled and reused, meeting the requirements of environmental protection and sustainable development. They are especially suitable for temporary building projects, such as on-site construction housing. After the project is completed, they can be easily dismantled and transferred to other locations for reuse.
- Environmental Protection: Screw pile foundations achieve green infrastructure with zero excavation, zero pouring, and zero pollution, generating no construction waste such as surplus soil and debris. This reduces the workload of land reclamation and greening after project completion, having good social and environmental benefits.
