Container House Box Sizes
Container house box sizes are diverse, covering standard sizes, foreign trade sizes, customized sizes, and special type sizes, etc..
Standard Sizes:
- Among industry benchmark models, the external dimensions of a 20-foot standard container are 6058×2438×2591mm, with internal dimensions of 5867×2330×2350mm; the external dimensions of a 40-foot standard container are 12192×2438×2591mm, with internal dimensions of 11998×2330×2350mm; the external dimensions of a 40-foot high cube container are 12192×2438×2896mm, with internal dimensions of 11998×2330×2655mm.
- The general domestic standard size is 6 meters in length, 3 meters in width, and 2.9 meters in height; the general export size is 6 meters in length, 2.4 meters in width, and 2.9 meters in height.
Foreign Trade Sizes: Foreign trade sizes range from 5.8 meters × 2.2 meters to 11.5 meters × 2.2 meters, corresponding to two main models: 20-foot and 40-foot, with areas of approximately 12.98 square meters and 25.96 square meters, respectively. The standard width of a single container is 3 meters, with length options of 3 meters, 6 meters, 9 meters, or 12 meters.
Customized Sizes:
- Mainstream adoption includes standard 20-foot/40-foot container sizes, but non-standard customization is also available as needed, such as 3m×6m, 3m×8m, 3m×12m, etc., with flexible adjustments in length, width, and height. Width options include 2.5m/2.55m/3m/4m, etc., and height options include 2.6m/2.7m/2.8m/2.9m, etc.
- Second-generation customized containers are tailored according to requirements, typically made into sizes like 20-foot standard containers 3×3×6, 30-foot standard containers 3×3×9, and 40-foot standard containers 3×3×12.
Special Type Sizes: For example, foldable container mobile homes have standard sizes designed according to international standard containers, namely 20 feet (approximately 6 meters) and 40 feet (approximately 12 meters); non-standard sizes are customized for special needs. The internal dimensions of a packed container house are 5880mm (length), 2840mm (width), and 2500mm (height).
