Container House Bottom Insulation
Admin September 15, 2026
The bottom insulation of container houses can be achieved by selecting appropriate materials, optimizing structural design, enhancing airtightness, and incorporating temperature control equipment.

Selecting Appropriate Insulation Materials
- Rock Wool: The patented container house from Suzhou Tiandi Color Steel features an installation chamber one inside the support plate, where rock wool is installed. Rock wool has excellent thermal insulation properties, effectively preventing heat conduction through the bottom, reducing indoor heat loss, and improving insulation performance.
- Polyurethane Foam Plastic: In installation chamber two inside the side panel, polyurethane foam plastic is placed on both sides of the reinforced support base. This material has a low thermal conductivity coefficient, effectively blocking heat transfer and enhancing bottom insulation.
- Other Materials: EPS (expanded polystyrene) boards, silicate wool, and foam polystyrene boards can also be selected. These materials all have good insulation properties, effectively preventing heat loss from the bottom.
Optimizing Structural Design
- Installing Reinforced Support Frames: Installing reinforced support frames inside the lower end of the container installation frame can enhance the stability of the bottom structure while providing better support for the installation of insulation materials, ensuring insulation effectiveness.
- Multi-Layer Structure: Some container houses adopt a multi-layer structure at the bottom, consisting of a base plate, floor covering, and bottom cotton strips. This design effectively reduces heat conduction and improves bottom insulation performance.
Enhancing Airtightness
- Filling Gaps: Design insulation structures at the connection points and corners of the container house bottom to fill gaps, preventing cold air from entering the room through the bottom gaps and reducing indoor temperature loss.
- Sealing Treatment: Ensure good airtightness at the contact points between the bottom and the ground. Sealing materials such as sealant can be used for sealing treatment to prevent air circulation and maintain indoor warmth.
Incorporating Temperature Control Equipment
- Heating Facilities: Equip the container house with heating facilities such as electric heaters and air conditioners to effectively raise indoor temperatures, compensating for potential deficiencies in bottom insulation and ensuring warmth during cold winters.
- Ventilation and Sunshade Design: Reasonably design bottom ventilation slots and incorporate adjustable sunshade roofs. In summer, this promotes air circulation, lowers indoor temperatures, and reduces heat accumulation at the bottom.
