Container House Bathroom Dimensions

Admin September 17, 2026

The common standard dimensions of a container house bathroom are 5950mm (length) × 3000mm (width) × 2800mm (height), but the actual dimensions can be flexibly customized according to needs, with the specific ranges as follows:

Length

The customization range for the length of a container house bathroom is quite wide, with a common range of 2 meters to 12 meters, among which 3 meters to 8 meters are the most widely used. For example, container tourist restrooms in public places such as parks and scenic spots may adopt an ultra-long design of 12 meters to meet the needs of high pedestrian traffic; while bathrooms in small residences or temporary buildings may choose a compact size of 3 meters to 5 meters to save space. The choice of length should comprehensively consider the usage scenario, functional zoning (such as wet-dry separation and storage space), and transportation limitations (standard container lengths are 6 meters or 12 meters, and customized lengths need to be compatible with modular assembly).

Width

The width of a standard container is mostly 2.4 meters (8 feet), but bathroom design can break through this limitation. Common extended widths are 3 meters to 3.5 meters to accommodate barrier-free facilities (such as wheelchair turning space) or the needs of two people using the bathroom simultaneously. For example, in some high-end customized cases, the bathroom width reaches 3.5 meters, which can accommodate double sinks, a shower area, and a toilet area, enhancing user comfort. When extending the width, attention should be paid to structural stability, and reinforcement frames or additional support beams should be used to ensure safety.

Height

The standard height of a container house bathroom is approximately 2.6 meters, but it can be increased to 2.8 meters to 3 meters by adjusting the roof panel or adding a suspended ceiling structure. The main purposes of increasing the height are to improve ventilation (avoid moisture accumulation) and enhance the sense of space (reduce a feeling of oppression), especially suitable for shower areas or scenarios where exhaust fans or fresh air systems need to be installed. It should be noted that increasing the height may increase manufacturing costs and must comply with local building code restrictions on floor height.

Customization Flexibility

The size customization of container bathrooms requires a balance between functional needs and costs. For example, for family housing, a compact design of 3 meters (length) × 2.4 meters (width) × 2.8 meters (height) may be preferred, taking into account both practicality and economy; while for commercial venues or public facilities, a large-size plan of 6 meters (length) × 3.5 meters (width) × 3 meters (height) may be adopted to accommodate more sanitary facilities or meet barrier-free standards. During customization, details such as the layout of water and electricity pipelines and drainage slopes should also be considered to ensure that size adjustments do not affect functionality.
