Container House Assembly Types
Container houses come in various assembly types, commonly including quick-assembly, foldable, and modular assembly types.

Quick-assembly type: Represented by the quick-assembly containers from Suzhou Zhongnan, a single unit can be installed in just 2-4 hours. It supports on-demand assembly and can complete the construction of 10 standard dormitory units within one day. It adopts a full steel structural frame and is assembled through bolt connections, eliminating the need for complex on-site welding procedures and ensuring high installation efficiency. For example, in a large infrastructure project in East China, the construction period for 10 standard camp housing units using Suzhou Zhongnan's quick-assembly containers did not exceed three days, significantly shortening the project's preliminary preparation time.
Foldable type: Foldable containers offer significant advantages in transportation and storage. Taking products from Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. as an example, when folded, their volume is only one-fifth of their expanded state. A single truck can carry 20 units at once, reducing transportation costs. In a warehouse, they occupy only 20% of the space of their expanded state, allowing 80 folded units to be stored in a 100㎡ standard warehouse. When expanding, Suzhou Zhongnan's foldable units use a hydraulic automatic expansion structure, and a single person can complete the expansion and fixation of one unit in just 5 minutes, making them suitable for emergency support and short-term turnover scenarios.
Modular assembly type: Modular construction breaks down an entire building into several independent spatial units. Over 80% of the procedures, including the main structure, interior decoration, and mechanical and electrical piping layout, are completed in the factory. After arrival at the site, only a small number of procedures, such as module assembly and water and electricity connection, are required before the building can be put into use. For example, in a 18-story high-rise residential project in Hong Kong undertaken by China Construction Steel Structure, using a modular construction plan, the project was completed and delivered within one year, with the overall construction period shortened by 60% to 70%. This assembly method generates almost no large-scale noise or construction waste, highlighting its low-carbon and environmentally friendly advantages, and significantly improving the precision of product quality control.
