Production Process of Portable Toilets for Construction Sites
Admin October 16, 2026
The production process of portable toilets for construction sites can be divided into two methods: individual production using water storage tanks and pallets, and production by construction site portable toilet manufacturers. Details are as follows:

Individual Production Using Water Storage Tanks and Pallets
- Bottom Structure Construction: Take out a plastic pallet and fix universal wheels at each of the four corners of the pallet bottom to facilitate mobility.
- Water Storage Tank Processing: Place a water storage tank retrieved from a garbage station onto the pallet. Use an angle grinder to cut along the marked line on the top of the water storage tank to remove the top surface, creating an open-top tank. Invert another open-top water storage tank and stack it on top of the first tank, securing the frames of the two tanks with self-tapping screws.
- Opening and Pipe Installation: Cut an opening in the frame and body of the water storage tank to form a doorway. Drill a hole in the floor inside the tank, insert an elbow, connect it to a water pipe, and seal it. Cut off any excess water pipe.
- Sanitary Fixture Installation: Place the toilet bowl over the drain outlet and secure it with adhesive. Fix the water pipe to the wall with clips and install a faucet. Secure a pipe cap with screws at the bottom, drill a hole for the drain pipe outlet after connecting the water pipe, drill a hole in the pipe cap, apply glass adhesive, and fix a stainless steel basin as a handwashing basin. Connect the water inlet pipe to the toilet tank, connect the shower hose, install the bracket, install the toilet seat, and install a spray-type showerhead made from a water pipe.
- Door Installation: Bring a wooden board, fix hinges on the frame of the water storage tank, and attach the other side of the hinges to the wooden board to form a door. Then install a door handle.
Production by Construction Site Portable Toilet Manufacturers
- Determine Product Specifications: Based on the usage scenario, conventional dimensions should consider the number of workers on the site, available space, and lifting conditions.
- Box Frame Production: Weld metal profiles to form the frame, requiring stable welding processes and uniform welds to ensure the overall skeleton does not deform during lifting and transportation.
- Wall Material Selection: Composite panels with anti-corrosion and easy-to-clean properties are often selected. The inner and outer panels are treated to resist ultraviolet radiation and rain erosion.
- Floor Treatment: Apply waterproofing and anti-slip treatments, and reserve positions for sewage pipe connections.
- Internal Configuration Installation: Install components such as toilets, flushing systems, handwashing basins, mirrors, hooks, and exhaust fans according to functional requirements. The flushing system should be a water-saving type or foam-sealing type commonly used on construction sites; the electrical system should use waterproof wiring, with all sockets and switches equipped with leakage protection, and lighting fixtures meeting moisture-proof requirements.
- Material Processing: Metal parts should undergo rust removal and anti-rust treatment, with a surface coating that has good adhesion and weather resistance; plastic and rubber parts should be made of anti-aging and low-temperature-resistant materials; conduct water tightness tests to ensure the quality of waterproof sealants and seals.
- Septic Tank Design (if applicable): Design the tank volume reasonably based on the estimated frequency of use, and set up a cleaning port and ventilation pipe.
- Quality Inspection: Before leaving the factory, conduct structural stability tests, flushing system operation tests, electrical safety tests, and appearance inspections. Some products simulate the lifting process to check the lifting point positions and tank deformation.
- Installation and Delivery: Transport to the site in the form of a complete unit or modular components, providing clear lifting instructions and installation instructions. For sites with water supply and drainage conditions, connect directly to the municipal network; for sites without such conditions, use a sewage tank for collection and have it regularly pumped out by a suction truck, and explain daily maintenance points to the user.
