Construction Site Portable Toilet

Admin September 22, 2026

A portable toilet for construction sites can be made using storage tanks and pallets, with the following specific steps:

I. Foundation Frame Construction First, prepare a pallet as the base. Fix universal wheels at each of the four corners on the bottom of the pallet to ensure the toilet's mobility. Then, place a recycled storage tank on the pallet as the main structure of the toilet. Use an angle grinder to cut along the marked line on the top of the storage tank, removing the top surface to create an open tank, providing space for subsequent component installation.

II. Tank Combination and Opening Treatment Invert another storage tank with an open top and stack it on top of the first tank. Secure the outer frames of the two tanks with self-tapping screws to form a double-layer sealed structure. Ensure that the screw spacing is even in this step to prevent tank deformation. Then, cut a rectangular opening on the side of the tank as the doorway. The opening size should meet the needs of personnel entry and exit while maintaining structural strength.

III. Drainage System Installation Drill a hole in the floor inside the storage tank, insert an elbow, and connect it to a water pipe. Seal the gaps with waterproof glue to prevent leakage. After cutting off the excess water pipe, align the toilet with the drainage outlet and place it. Fix the connection between the bottom of the toilet and the tank with glass glue to ensure smooth drainage. Reserve a drainage pipe outlet on the outside of the tank and connect it to an external sewage collection device.

IV. Water Supply System Configuration Fix the water inlet pipe on the wall clip, install a faucet, and connect it to the lower pipe cap, which should be fastened with screws. Drill a hole in the pipe cap, apply glass glue, and then fix a hand-washing basin modified from a stainless-steel basin to ensure a sealed connection. The toilet tank should be separately connected to the water inlet pipe, and a shower hose, bracket, and showerhead should be installed to meet flushing needs.

V. Door and Accessory Installation The final step is door construction: Connect a wooden board to the storage tank frame using hinges, with the other side of the hinges fixed to a wooden box to form a hinged door. After installing the door handle, check the smoothness and sealing of the door opening and closing. Additionally, a toilet seat can be added to improve comfort, and all metal parts should be rust-proofed.

Precautions: Wear protective equipment throughout the construction process. Cutting operations should be carried out in a well-ventilated environment. All connections must be tightly sealed to prevent sewage leakage. Recycled materials should be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before use to ensure hygiene and safety.
