Installation of Outdoor Mobile Toilets at Construction Sites
Admin October 07, 2026
The installation of outdoor mobile toilets at construction sites requires selecting the appropriate method based on the type. Common installation types and procedures are as follows:

I. Selecting Installation Methods Based on Toilet Type
Stainless steel waterless packing squat toilets are suitable for construction site scenarios without sewage pipes, offering two installation modes:
- Floor-mounted installation: Place the toilet directly on a flat surface and connect it to the ground using a bottom fixing device, suitable for short-term use or areas with good ground conditions.
- In-ground installation: Dig a foundation pit matching the toilet's dimensions, embed the toilet, and secure it with concrete, suitable for long-term use or scenarios requiring enhanced stability. In-ground installations reduce ground space usage but require prior planning of sewage outlet positions.
II. Modular Installation of Assembled Mobile Toilets
Assembled toilets feature standardized designs, with the following installation procedures:
- Foundation preparation: Clear the installation area's ground, ensuring no sharp objects or unevenness, and lay a moisture-proof pad or concrete foundation if necessary.
- Wall assembly: Use 50mm-thick sandwich panels (with excellent fire and thermal insulation properties) for slot-based assembly, aligning and fixing connections with rivets to form an enclosed space.
- Floor installation: Select non-slip patterned stainless steel or marble floors based on needs, and fix them to the wall bottom with bolts, ensuring tight seams.
- Functional configuration: Install sit/squat toilets, shower equipment, ventilation systems, etc., and connect water and electricity pipes (reserve water inlets and sewage outlets for water-flush types).
III. General Installation Procedures and Tools
Regardless of the type, the following steps must be followed:
- Tool preparation: Electric drills (with 4.2mm drill bits), rivet guns, spirit levels, wrenches, etc.
- Corner installation: Prioritize fixing the toilet's four-corner structures, using electric drills to create holes and insert expansion bolts to enhance overall stability.
- Panel slot assembly: Align the slots of wall and roof modules, gently push them in until fully engaged, avoiding excessive force that may cause deformation.
- Alignment, drilling, and fixing: Use a spirit level to check the verticality of each module, mark drilling positions at the joints, and complete the final fixing with a rivet gun.
IV. Adapting Structure to Mobility Method
- Single-unit structure: Small and lightweight, suitable for lifting and transporting types, can be directly hoisted to the designated location with a crane.
- Composite structure: Composed of multiple modules, requiring disassembly for transportation and on-site assembly, suitable for powered towing types (requiring connection to a tractor for movement).
Precautions: Before installation, confirm the site's load-bearing capacity to avoid tilting due to soft foundations; water-flush toilets require prior planning of sewage pipes, while waterless suction types require regular cleaning of the fecal storage tank.
