No-Cleaning Mobile Toilets for Construction Sites

Admin October 06, 2026

There are types of mobile toilets for construction sites that require no cleaning. Here are some common types of mobile toilets for construction sites that are either cleaning-free or require minimal cleaning, along with their features:

  1. Eco-friendly Mobile Dry Toilets with No Manual Excavation
These toilets are commonly found in special scenarios such as mining construction sites. Their core design concept is to achieve harmless treatment and resource utilization of feces through an ecological circulation system. For example, they use microbial decomposition technology to convert feces into organic fertilizer or biogas. The entire process requires no manual excavation and emits no odors. Their structure typically includes a fermentation chamber, a ventilation system, and an excreta collection device. By controlling temperature, humidity, and microbial activity, they accelerate the decomposition of organic matter. These toilets are suitable for construction sites with water shortages, insufficient power supply, or strict environmental protection requirements. However, they require regular replenishment of microbial inoculants and maintenance of fermentation environment stability.

  2. Dry-Packing Mobile Toilets
This type of toilet achieves water-free flushing and reduced cleaning through physical isolation. Excreta directly falls into biodegradable eco-friendly bags. After use, the bags are sealed and replaced, eliminating the need for water flushing throughout the process and avoiding the generation of sewage from traditional toilets. Some designs adopt a double-layer bag structure, with an outer layer that is leak-proof and an inner layer that is biodegradable. After treatment, they can be directly landfilled or composted. These toilets are simple to operate and have low maintenance costs. However, they require regular replacement of packing bags and have limited capacity, making them suitable for construction sites with low personnel turnover or short-term projects.

  3. Foam-Sealing Mobile Toilets
These toilets generate a large amount of foam through a foaming device to cover the surface of excreta, forming a sealed layer to block odors and reduce water evaporation. The lubricating effect of the foam makes excreta easily slide into the collection container, reducing adhesion and thus lowering the cleaning frequency. These toilets require regular replenishment of foaming liquid but use only about 1/10 of the water used by traditional water-flushing toilets. The collection container can be centrally transported for disposal, making them suitable for construction sites with water scarcity but requiring a certain level of comfort.

Selection Advice:
If the construction site requires long-term use and has high environmental protection requirements, eco-friendly mobile dry toilets with no manual excavation are the preferred choice. If cost-effectiveness and convenience are pursued, dry-packing mobile toilets are more suitable. Foam-sealing mobile toilets, on the other hand, balance water usage and user experience, making them suitable for medium-sized projects. The actual selection should be based on a comprehensive assessment of the number of personnel on the construction site, the usage period, and the budget.
