Differences in Construction Site Container Houses
Admin September 16, 2026
Construction site container houses mainly differ in structural materials, performance characteristics, installation methods, uses, and costs:

Structural Materials
- Container Houses: Often modified from high-strength steel containers or have factory-prefabricated frames according to container dimensions, with color-steel sandwich panels as walls. The steel provides high strength and corrosion resistance.
- Mobile Panel Houses: Use light steel as the overall structure and sandwich panels for walls and roofs. The sandwich panels offer thermal insulation, corrosion resistance, sound insulation, lightweight properties, and flame retardancy.
- Packing-Box Units: Employ light steel structures, with rock wool sandwich panels as the main material for the panels. This material combination gives them unique advantages in thermal insulation and fire prevention.
Performance Characteristics
- Container Houses: Feature fast construction speed, high durability, and the ability to withstand natural disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons. They have high space utilization, are reusable, and are environmentally friendly and energy-efficient. However, their fire resistance is a weakness, as the steel structure may melt under high temperatures, and there is a risk of rust.
- Mobile Panel Houses: Have a stable structure and good earthquake resistance, with strong decorative properties. The interior and exterior walls and roofs have bright colors and a soft texture. However, their thermal insulation, sound insulation, and other performance aspects are relatively poor.
- Packing-Box Units: Have undergone improvements and upgrades in performance and manufacturing processes, providing a relatively comfortable and safe living and working environment. They also have advantages in long-distance transportation or sea export.
Installation Methods
- Container Houses: Are factory-prefabricated and can be quickly assembled on-site without complex civil engineering construction.
- Mobile Panel Houses: Require on-site installation of walls, ceilings, water pipes, and other equipment, resulting in a relatively long construction period.
- Packing-Box Units: Adopt a "factory prefabrication + on-site installation" model, generating no construction waste on-site and leaving no construction waste after project demolition, thus not damaging the local environment.
