How to Construct Mobile Toilets on Construction Sites

Admin September 28, 2026

There are mainly three construction methods for mobile toilets on construction sites: self-made, installation of fully-equipped mobile toilets, and installation of complete finished mobile toilets. Here are the specific construction steps:

Self-made Mobile Toilets: First, use water storage tanks and pallets as the base materials. Fix universal wheels at the four corners of the pallet bottom for easy movement. Then, place the recycled water storage tanks and cut the tops of the tanks to form open-top containers. Stack two open-top water storage tanks and secure them with self-tapping screws to ensure structural stability. Next, cut an entrance on the tank body for personnel access. Drill holes in the internal floor and install drainage elbows and pipes for sewage discharge. Place and secure the toilet to ensure safe use. Additionally, install faucets, washbasins, showers, and other facilities to meet daily cleaning needs. Finally, install the door to complete the construction of the self-made mobile toilet.

Installation of Fully-equipped Mobile Toilets: Conduct site surveys before construction to ensure the ground is flat and solid, and away from the main construction roads and pollution sources to ensure the stability and hygiene of the toilets. After receiving the equipment, check whether the box body and accessories are intact to avoid problems during subsequent construction. Clear ground debris according to the toilet type and lay gravel or concrete foundations to provide stable support for the toilets. Use forklifts or cranes to lift the toilet body smoothly to the designated location to ensure accurate installation. Connect the sewage pipes to the construction site drainage system or temporary collection pits, ensuring tight seals at the joints to prevent sewage leakage. Connect the water supply and test the flushing function, checking whether the drainage pipes are unobstructed to ensure normal toilet use. After installation, check whether the internal facilities are secure and examine the box body for airtightness externally to ensure no safety hazards.

Installation of Complete Finished Mobile Toilets: This construction method requires no civil engineering or excavation of septic tanks. The entire process is as simple as building with blocks. Through the use of columns and splicing for fixation, it is completed in one step, with every buckle fitting tightly to ensure the structural stability of the toilets. This construction method significantly shortens the construction period, improves construction efficiency, and reduces environmental pollution during the construction process.
