Detailed Construction Explanation of Container Houses
The detailed construction explanation of container houses is as follows:

I. Foundation Installation
Site Preparation
The selected site needs to be leveled as a foundation. It is recommended to use reinforced concrete materials to ensure structural stability. Alternatively, a steel pile foundation plan can be adopted: steel piles are screwed into a stable soil layer 2 meters underground using specialized machinery. Each pile can bear a load of about 5 tons. During construction, pressure and torque should be measured in real-time to verify the stability of the piles.Frame Construction
Erect columns and connect them with horizontal beams to form a basic frame. If a steel pile foundation is used, the container needs to be welded into a unified overall structure, and the welding plates should be treated with anti-rust paint. After welding, the verticality and levelness of the frame should be checked to ensure that the errors are within the allowable range.Floor Installation
- Connection between the bottom corners of the container and the bottom beams: Use hexagon socket bolts and do not tighten them temporarily. Tighten them after adjusting the squareness (ensuring that the diagonal difference of the bottom frame is ≤ 3mm).
- Installation of π-shaped secondary beams: Install according to the positioning holes of the long beams, fix with M5.5×19 self-tapping screws. The tops of the secondary beams and the bottom beams should be fixed with ST4.8×16 round-head drill-tail screws.
- Installation of floor base plates: Lay magnesium oxide boards along the 6-meter direction. Pre-drill holes at both ends and cut the corners according to the chalk line. Mark the nail-driving positions at the centerline of the π-shaped beams.
- Floor splicing: Start laying from one end. The splicing joint should coincide with the centerline of the π-shaped beams. After laying, snap chalk lines (two chalk lines are required at the splicing joint, each deviating 20mm from the centerline). Fix along the chalk lines with ST4.2×38 cross-head flat-head dovetail screws, with a nail-driving interval of 300-350mm.
- Joint treatment: Grind the floor joints as a whole, brush PVC special floor adhesive, wait for 10-15 minutes, then lay the floor covering and expel the air. If possible, welding treatment can be carried out at the splicing joints.
II. Main Structure Installation
- Installation of Roof Trusses and Roof Panels
After the basic frame is completed, install the roof trusses and roof panels in sequence to ensure that the roof drainage slope meets the design requirements. - Multi-story Structure Construction
If a multi-story structure needs to be built, each floor should be firmly fixed before moving up for installation. High-strength bolts or welding processes should be used for the connections between floors.
III. Installation of Concealed Works
- Plumbing and Electrical Works
Strictly control the waterproof construction process and material selection. Sealing treatment should be carried out at the places where pipes pass through walls, and the electrical wiring should comply with national regulations. - Sealing Treatment
Carefully seal the edge joints with nitrile rubber-based aluminum foil tape, focusing on the joints between doors and windows, roofs, and walls to provide additional moisture barriers.
IV. Quality and Safety Inspection
- Foundation Inspection
After installation, a comprehensive inspection should be carried out to check whether the connections between various components are tight and firm, with a focus on checking welding points and bolt connections. - Performance Testing
Ensure that the tightness, thermal insulation, waterproofness, fire resistance, and moisture resistance have undergone strict testing. If necessary, a third-party organization can be entrusted to carry out special acceptance.
V. Installation of Supporting Facilities
Complete components such as doors, windows, and vertical supports, and equip with sanitary ware and small hardware. The installation of doors and windows should ensure flexible opening and good sealing, and the vertical supports should be reliably connected to the main structure.
