Conghua has achieved remarkable results in the construction of mobile environmental toilets, covering various aspects such as construction achievements, public toilet features, types and technologies, as well as maintenance and management.

Construction Achievements

In 2019, integrating the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy and rural human settlement improvement efforts, Conghua built four high-standard demonstration public toilets in the parking lot of Fengxi Street and at the entrance of the Phoenix-Spreading Archway in Nanping Village, as well as in Xihe Village and Xitang Village. These movable public toilets have become new scenic spots in the countryside.

Public Toilet Features

The prefabricated public toilets in Conghua are assembled on-site from standardized prefabricated components produced through factory modularization, belonging to fixed permanent public toilets with fast construction speeds. These toilets reduce procedures such as planning approval and land use approval, featuring ecological and environmental protection as well as aesthetic elegance. Moreover, if the land use changes, the entire public toilet can be relocated. Internally, they are well-equipped; there is no odor upon entering, and each toilet stall is标配 (standardly equipped) with tissue paper, hand sanitizer, a handwashing sink, and air fresheners. There are also母婴卫生间 (mother-and-baby toilets) equipped with cribs and baby chairs, providing great convenience for adults accompanying infants.

Types and Technologies

The mobile environmental toilets in Conghua come in a variety of types, with materials including stainless steel, aluminum-plastic panels, light steel, anticorrosive wood, steel structures, metals, galvanized sheets, and color-coated steel sheets. Their uses cover environmental toilets, outdoor restrooms, construction site toilets, public toilets, and mobile restrooms. They incorporate environmentally friendly technological solutions such as waterless flushing, foam sealing, and water flushing, with product lines covering细分场景 (niche scenarios) like temporary construction site toilets, scenic area and garden toilets, and vehicle-mounted toilets. Some products are equipped with intelligent systems, such as bottom-layer PLC data acquisition systems, 40-inch LED stall monitors, and 4G remote monitoring modules, supporting remote control of lighting and flushing systems via mobile apps.

Maintenance and Management

Wu Han, the Deputy Director of the Conghua District Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, stated that "three parts construction, seven parts management" is essential, as the maintenance, cleaning, and fecal waste treatment of rural public toilets require substantial and continuous funding. To address funding issues, the Conghua District Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau has reallocated funds for the construction of rural public toilets and the improvement of construction corridors and surrounding environments for prefabricated public toilets. Now, each village receives an annual allocation of 250,000 yuan as special rural sanitation funds, which are used flexibly by each village according to local conditions.
