Concrete Prefabricated Houses in Xinjiang

Admin September 18, 2026

There are various types of concrete prefabricated houses in Xinjiang, covering different structures, functions, and price ranges to meet diverse needs.

I. Prefabricated Cement Houses: Widely Distributed, Flexibly Customizable

Prefabricated cement houses are available for sale in many places across Xinjiang, such as Hotan, Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture, Karamay, Urumqi, Hami, and Altay. These houses are primarily constructed with reinforced concrete structures, with customizable numbers of floors and styles, and come from a variety of brands and suppliers. Prices vary widely, ranging from 9.90 - 13.80 yuan per square meter to 1000 - 1100 yuan, depending on materials, craftsmanship, and customization requirements. Their advantages lie in rapid construction and cost control, making them suitable for temporary housing, rural self-built houses, and other scenarios.

II. Urumqi Prefabricated Integrated Houses: Technologically Advanced, Climate-Adapted

In response to Xinjiang's arid continental climate, Urumqi's prefabricated integrated houses adopt a composite structure combining concrete prefabricated panels with light steel. The exterior walls feature a sandwich design with aerated blocks and XPS insulation boards, coated with reflective heat-insulating paint to effectively enhance thermal insulation performance. The main body of the house is prefabricated in the factory, with upper and lower floors connected on-site using grout sleeves, reducing the construction period by 60% compared to traditional cast-in-place methods. These houses are suitable for affordable housing, employee apartments in industrial parks, and earthquake-resistant housing projects.
Technological highlights include:

  • Efficient Production: Excellent factories have introduced German production lines, enabling构件 (components) to reach 80% of their design strength within 3 days. Laboratories regularly test concrete performance, and each component is embedded with an RFID chip to record information, enabling full process traceability.
  • Innovative Design: The houses feature "integrated structural insulation and decoration" exterior wall panels, adjustable ventilation curtain wall systems, and water-circulating roof cooling modules, while also considering earthquake resistance (capable of withstanding an 8-degree earthquake). There are plans to promote these houses to southern and northern Xinjiang as well as Central Asia in the future.

III. Low-Cost Reinforced Concrete Small Units: Economical and Practical

There are cases of 78-square-meter reinforced concrete bungalows in some areas of Xinjiang, such as Fukang City and Hutubi, with a main construction cost of only 39,000 yuan, all made of reinforced concrete materials. These houses focus on economy and are suitable for self-built housing needs in rural or suburban areas with limited budgets. However, they have a low degree of customization and primarily serve basic living functions.

IV. Quality Supervision: Ensuring Safety and Performance

Relevant departments in Xinjiang have issued notices to strengthen the quality supervision of ready-mixed concrete, requiring production enterprises to:

  • Strictly implement norms and standards, establish a batch acceptance system for raw materials and a disposal system for non-conforming products;
  • Store raw materials by variety and specification, retain concrete specimens, and conduct opening inspections when using mix proportions for the first time;
  • Equip with qualified measuring equipment and install mix proportion measurement and control instruments to collect production data, ensuring stable concrete performance.
    This measure provides institutional guarantees for the long-term safety of concrete prefabricated houses.
