Concrete Prefabricated House Windows and Doors
Admin September 18, 2026
The following are the key points regarding concrete prefabricated house windows and doors:

Reinforcement Methods
In construction, to ensure the stability of windows and doors, although not mandated by regulations, the industry commonly uses solid bricks or concrete prefabricated blocks to reinforce the edges of windows and doors.
Prefabricated Concrete Blocks for Windows and Doors
- Fabrication: When creating window and door openings, steel molds are used to prefabricate concrete blocks that fit the size of the openings. This method enhances construction speed, reduces costs, and ensures quality and safety.
- Height Determination: The height must be determined based on the actual height of the windows and doors and the thickness of the walls. Generally, it should be slightly taller than the windows and doors to facilitate later adjustments. Additionally, the load-bearing capacity must be fully considered to establish the appropriate strength grade and dimensions.
- Spacing Requirements: The spacing is determined by factors such as the strength of the concrete blocks, wall thickness, load, and seismic requirements, typically ranging from 100mm to 200mm. When constructing vertically, ensure the horizontal and vertical alignment of the walls.
- Edge Treatment: Ensure smoothness and aesthetics; edges should be straight and smooth without cracks or damage. If cracks or damage occur, timely repairs are necessary.
Window and Door Lintel
The window and door lintel is the treatment method at the junction of windows/doors and walls, with two options: prefabricated components and cast-in-place concrete.
- Prefabricated Components: Using prefabricated components for construction can shorten the construction period and improve construction quality. It offers advantages such as uniform specifications, mass production capabilities, and controlled quality.
- Cast-in-Place Concrete: The cast-in-place concrete construction method offers greater flexibility in terms of shape, size, and material requirements, better meeting architectural design requirements and practical needs. However, this method occupies more construction space and requires more labor and time investment.
