Concert Portable Toilet Incident

Admin October 10, 2026

The concert portable toilet incident refers to situations where audience dissatisfaction arises due to issues such as unreasonable placement and poor management of portable toilets at some concerts. Specific incidents are as follows:

Wang Leehom's Changsha Concert: A row of blue portable temporary toilets was placed right in front of the audience seats. This arrangement severely affected the audience's viewing experience, causing some audience members to become agitated and shout for refunds. Additionally, during the middle of the performance, there were instances of staff members smoking in violation of regulations, and staff and security personnel used laser pointers to scan each other, further exacerbating the chaos on site and the audience's dissatisfaction. These behaviors not only violated relevant regulations but also reflected obvious loopholes in the organizer's on-site management and safety guarantees.

G.E.M.'s Taizhou Concert: Dozens of portable toilets were placed in the inner field area near the grandstand seats. Due to the large number of portable toilets and their poor location, there was a strong odor on site, seriously affecting the audience's experience. When some audience members reported this issue to the staff, they were rudely retorted by the staff: "Others can tolerate it, why can't you?" This response undoubtedly intensified the audience's dissatisfaction. Moreover, neither the organizer nor the co-organizer made a clear response to this matter, also showing their inadequacy in handling audience feedback and crisis public relations. Previously, G.E.M.'s Qingdao Concert and Shanghai Concert had also been criticized by netizens for portable toilet issues, indicating that this problem is not an isolated case and requires the organizer's high attention.

Other Concerts: Different concerts also have different approaches to the placement of portable toilets. The 2024 Joker Xue's tour concert in Qujing had 50 independent portable toilets set up in front of the inner-field LED screen. The 2023 Mayday Shanghai Concert set up multiple portable restrooms in the VIP inner field and next to the stage control console for the convenience of the audience, ensuring an adequate number and reasonable distribution. These practices provide references for other concerts, showing that as long as the organizer carefully plans and manages, it is possible to avoid problems caused by portable toilets and enhance the audience's viewing experience.
