Color Steel Prefabricated House

Admin September 18, 2026

A color steel prefabricated house is an environmentally friendly and economical building that uses light steel as its framework and sandwich panels as its wall materials, assembled through bolts or welding. It features rapid assembly and disassembly, as well as universal standardization, but requires attention to fire prevention and wind resistance.

The framework of a color steel prefabricated house typically employs light steel H-beams, channel steels, and other materials, while the walls are primarily made of sandwich panels. Depending on the internal core material, sandwich panels can be classified into polyurethane sandwich panels, polystyrene (EPS) sandwich panels, rock wool sandwich panels, glass wool sandwich panels, and other types. Different core materials result in varying performance characteristics of sandwich panels: For example, polyurethane and polystyrene sandwich panels offer good thermal insulation, but flammable core materials like polyurethane can produce large amounts of toxic gases in fires, posing safety hazards. In contrast, rock wool and glass wool sandwich panels have better fire resistance and are more suitable for scenarios with high safety requirements.

The assembly and disassembly of color steel prefabricated houses are highly convenient and efficient, enabling universal standardization for temporary buildings. Taking assembled light steel keel rural houses (color steel panel temporary buildings) as an example, their overall framework structures use hot-rolled section steels such as square steels, flat steels, channel steels, I-beams, and hot-rolled L-steels, connected by bolts to form three-dimensional steel frameworks. The main wall materials can be flexibly selected according to needs, such as polystyrene, glass wool, rock wool, and polyurethane with flame retardants added, to achieve better thermal insulation, sound insulation, and fire resistance. Additionally, decorative exterior wall panels like wood decorative boards, cement fiber composite boards, and PVC decorative boards can be used to enhance aesthetics.

In terms of installation efficiency, color steel prefabricated houses have significant advantages. For example, a light steel house requires only 3-4 installation workers and can be completed within 3-5 days, greatly shortening the construction period and reducing labor costs. However, color steel houses may face structural safety risks under strong winds and other severe weather conditions, so wind reinforcement measures such as adding ground anchors and diagonal braces are necessary to ensure the stability of the house.
