Collection-Type Waterless Mobile Toilet

Admin September 27, 2026

A collection-type waterless mobile toilet is a type of mobile toilet that does not rely on a water source and collects excreta through specific methods while achieving dry-wet separation. The following provides a detailed introduction from the aspects of classification, structure, working principle, application scenarios, and advantages:

Classification
Collection-type waterless mobile toilets can be classified as either waterless flush-suction type or dry-packing type mobile toilets. The waterless flush-suction type uses vacuum suction to direct excreta into a sewage storage tank, while the dry-packing type directly collects and seals excreta through physical means.

Structural Composition
Its core components include a fecal sewage storage tank (or disposal device), floor slab, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, a water tank (absent in some models), roof, and mobile device. For example, the Bio-Lan ecological waterless toilet uses an EPP material toilet seat and lid, with a metal bracket inside. It directs urine through a hose to a collection bucket at the bottom and is equipped with a black plastic bucket for dry-wet separation. Rural toilet mobile units often use color-coated steel plates or metal carved panels as materials, adapting to temperature ranges from -35°C to 100°C.

Working Principle

  1. Excreta Collection: Excreta is directed into a sealed sewage storage tank by gravity or vacuum suction. For example, mobile toilets rented for large events use double-layer anti-corrosion-coated sewage storage tanks equipped with anti-leakage valves.
  2. Odor Control: Achieved through a dual mechanism of 'chemical blocking + physical filtration'. Biological enzyme degradants are pre-injected into the sewage storage tank to decompose organic matter, an activated carbon filtration device is installed at the top to adsorb odors, and some units are also equipped with UV lamps for sterilization.
  3. Waste Disposal: After the event, the rental company uses a sewage suction truck to vacuum the sewage storage tank, and the waste is transported to a centralized treatment station for closed-loop processing such as solid-liquid separation.

Application Scenarios and Advantages
Suitable for stations, docks, tourist attractions, large construction sites, and other places, especially in water-scarce areas or for temporary events. Its advantages include:

  1. Mobility: Adopts a standard modular design, with individual units molded from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) in one piece, lightweight and impact-resistant, with forklift slots at the bottom for quick deployment and removal.
  2. Environmental Friendliness: Reduces pollution and achieves resource recycling through biological enzyme degradation and solid-liquid separation technologies.
  3. Adaptability: Can be customized in terms of specifications and dimensions to suit different environmental temperatures and usage scenarios.
