Citizen Center Portable Toilet

Admin September 22, 2026

The setup of portable toilets at citizen centers varies by region. Some cities have clearly configured them, while others have only disclosed service projects without revealing details.

Citizen Center Area in Jianggan District (now Shangcheng District), Hangzhou:
There are two types of public toilet facilities in this area. The first is a portable landscape toilet, located at the intersection of Qianchao Road and Sanxin Road (on the riverbank opposite Tianyuan Building). It is the first portable landscape toilet in Hangzhou. Its design integrates landscape functions and adopts a modular structure, making it easy to dismantle and relocate, suitable for emergency needs in temporary events or areas with high pedestrian traffic. The second is a fixed public toilet, located in the Civic Square on Xinye Road, included in the district urban management bureau's classified cleaning management, with a total of 93 toilet stalls. Although this toilet is a fixed structure, it ensures hygiene through standardized cleaning procedures and can be considered an important supplement to the public toilet system in the citizen center area.

Citizen Center Square in Futian District, Shenzhen:
The Futian District Urban Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau released the announcement of the transaction results for the portable toilet rental service in 2022, indicating the existence of a portable toilet rental service project at the Citizen Center Square. Such services are usually provided by third-party enterprises, and the toilets may adopt container-type or trailer-type structures, equipped with basic sewage discharge, ventilation, and lighting systems to meet temporary usage needs. However, specific details (such as quantity, distribution locations, and technical parameters) have not been disclosed in public information and require further inquiry into official documents or service contracts.

Reference to General Technological Trends:
The design of portable toilets in other regions (such as Beijing and Fushun) reflects general technological trends in the industry:

  1. Modular Design: By combining standardized units, the number of toilet stalls can be quickly expanded or functional areas adjusted to meet different scenario requirements.
  2. Self-Sustaining Systems: Some portable toilets integrate solar power generation, rainwater harvesting, and biodegradation technologies, reducing reliance on municipal infrastructure and suitable for areas without basic facilities.
  3. Smart Management: Equipped with sensors to monitor toilet stall usage status, air quality, and consumable levels, and enable remote operation and maintenance through IoT platforms, improving management efficiency.

It should be noted that the above technological trends are not directly related to portable toilets at citizen centers but can provide references for project planning or upgrades. Specific implementation requires comprehensive evaluation based on local policies, budgets, and usage needs.
